“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

We enjoyed staying here for the first few days of a longer trip around Mexico. It's a easygoing place, with nice staff and a good location. The rooms are spacious, but a little dark. At least ours was. Most of all, it's good value for money. Will come again.

The location is excellent! I was traveling with my parents and we arrived earlier than our check in time. Kudos to Nathaly, the receptionist on the morning shift! She was not only helpful but very professional, respectful and well versed on the hotel's practices. Since there was an empty room like the one we reserved, she pleasantly informed us that we could occupy it right away. This decision of her helped us tremendously since we were able to walk to the US embassy without our luggage. Originally, I was going to ask for their concierge service if no rooms were available. The suite was cozy and well cleaned, the atmosphere was modern with ample hallways and big windows. Despite being located next to Chapultepec Avenue you can enjoy a restful night of sleep. Even though we only stayed for one night, we –my parents included- were treated very well and our simple requests were answered promptly and to our full satisfaction. Without a doubt, I would stay here again should I have a need to be near the zona rosa area. I can not rate the restaurant since we did not eat there. Mary, the nice housekeeping lady was also very friendly when we ran into her outside our suite. We felt at ease despite being away from home.

Room Tip: The internet has better reception in the living room area than in the bedroom.

It looks like some of the reviews were for P.F. Hotel which is owned by the same company as P.F. Suites. In fact, both are on the same block but both are completely DIFFERENT hotels. We stayed at the P.F. Suites which is right off of Avenida Chapultepec, not Florencia.

We stayed there from 29 August to 3 September. It was easy to find the hotel right off of Avenida Chapultepec. The staff was wonderful and just about all spoke English. We had absolutely no problems whatsoever and this hotel was within walking distance to a lot of great restaurants.

We appreciated the fact the room had a kitchen (although we only wanted to use the refrigerator). It was convenient walking across the street to the convenience store, Oxxo, and being able to store things in the refrigerator.

Our hotel rate was the European Plan which also included continental breakfast. Nothing fancy but there was a decent selection of bread. I went for the crescent rolls and enjoyed it with the butter and strawberry jam. There were five different kinds of cereals and two yogurts, one plain and one strawberry. The next day, it was plain and peach.

The rate also included parking in the basement garage. That was just about the only reason we chose that hotel aside from its convenient location.

The water pressure was great. The air conditioner was awesome although it leaked all over the floor. I am sure they will be fixing that. Other than that, the room was flawless and comfortable with sofa and couch, dining room table, two televisions, and two queen-sized beds.

The room is immaculately clean and it has a separate room with fridge, microwave and electric hob as well as desk and armchairs and sofa.

The wi-fi in the room works well enough for Skype, after a few glitches that got resolved with the Reception.

Location is good enough for metro Insurgentes, and walking distance to the Archeology museum. Restaurants in the Zona Rosa are not impressive.

Breakfast is basic, lovely fresh fruit, toast and cereal and sweet breads, you have to pay for eggs but they are really nice, try the Huevos Divorciados.

We bought the trip to Teohtihuacan from the hotel, but we only had two hours around the ruins, and the rest visiting the Virgin of Guadelupe churches, two souvenir shops and lunch, which was really unbalanced, I would have prefered to have more time on the archeological site which is amazing and not to be missed. Also the guide didn't take us around the archeological sites to explain anything.

Room Tip: Double bed rooms are facing the noisy boulevards, so if you want a quiet room you will need a room w...

We spent four excellent days in two of this around 40 rooms almost boutique hotel. All people were very helpful and responsive with the probable exemption of one of the waiters at the included continental breakfast. In short the place covered everything we needed in terms of cost, space, location, parking, service, cleanliness, responsiveness and internet. The only minus was the charge for local telephone calls, not due to the amount but for the fact. I would not doubt to consider the PF Suites when going with a group to Mexico City again. Just be aware that the parent facility, now called the PF Hotel (for Plaza Florencia) and located just around the corner is a standard not a suite hotel, I noted confusion in comments and service between the two sites.

English speaking reception personnel greeted us with a smile. Request for quiet two-bed room was accommodated. The hotel does not have the greatest curb appeal, but the interior is modern, light, airy and lickety split clean. Offer of luggage assistance, elevator to all floors. Obtaining dishes and utensils from house keeping was an ordeal (language, several deliveries), but we succeded to get the basics to heat and consume pizza, take-out food, etc. The suite has three distinct and separated rooms: a spacious 2-bed room with one comfy chair, dresser and not-so-big old fashioned TV (good channel selection, both languages); a narrow, single sink counter and closet section with separate WC and large marble shower; a kitchenette and sofa seating area with desk and chair. Contemporary style, good furniture, low-key deco. The mattresses were very much on the firm side. Windows are frosted - no view .... the quiet rooms are in the back and face a court yard. The property provided photos on this website are 100% accurate. I appreciated the thick towels, and in-room safe, but missed daily bottled water as provided at other hotels. While removed from traffic noise, the marble tiled and sparsely decorated hall ways allow for interior noise to carry to all rooms - a nuisance when 2 am Zona Rosa revellers return and forget their manners. You are also able to observe your neighbor's shower and hair dryer utilization (audio!). The continental breakfast is lovingly presented buffet style in the dining area. A good selection of sweet rolls including croissants, fresh sliced fruit, orange juice, good coffee, cereal and joghurt complete the offering. No styrofoam/plastic to be found here. A la carte egg dishes, etc. are available. The hotel has on-site security, 24-hour desk coverage and the doors are locked overnight. In summary: PF Suites presents an excellent value in close proximity to subway (Insurgentes or Sevilla stations on route #1), Reforma Boulevard, Zona Rosa (if that's your ticket) and easy reach distance to Chapultepec Park, historic city center and airport (200 pesos private taxi one-way). Two convenience stores are within 3 minute walk. I traveled with my 13-year old son and we felt safe and comfortable. I hope you will have the pleasure of being assisted by receptionist Mariana, who provided us with reliable wake-up calls, taxi reservation, restaurant advice and directions - and a smile.

Room Tip: I was told that 2-bedroom suites are all located in the rear of the building = quieter. That could m...

Place is clean, there's AC, microwave and frig are ok.

staff is regular, once I order pizza and the person at front desk told delivery guy we were NOT in the room. They don't even call to make sure. We were starving... and the end my fiance waited outside the place to receive the pizza.

One morning we didn't have hot water....
Another morning I went alone to take breakfast and the waiter ask me too many questions "what room are you in" "why your name is not on the list" "is the other person coming" "do you know the other person" The reservation was made on my fiance's name!!! I felt like a dirty street working woman.
