Location: We stayed in Cancun, with the bus stop and organising who goes on which coach then the hotel drop offs on the way back, expect the journey to be around 2-3 hours. Well worth it!
Activities: Bike ride through the forest or on the shuttle up to the river starting point, snorkeling in the river - plenty of fish to see or float down the river in a single or double rubber ring, activities down the river such as jumping off a cliff, zip line and walking the rope, walk over the floating bridge, walk and swim through caves/grottos, walk through the forest and see racoons and iguanas!
Additional activities (ie at an extra cost): Swim with dolphins, stingrays, manatees and also it is 300 pesos to rend snorkel equipment and 300 pesos to rent flippers - Both are deposits which are refundable on return. All food and drink is included in the ticket price when booked with Thomson and there are 5 different restaurants.
TOP TIP: You will receive a wristband which you can scan at lots of locations around the park or while your in the river or with animals, when you scan a picture takes which you can view on the computers around the park. You can buy one pic for 250 pesos or get a USB stick with every single picture on for 1000 pesos. My boyfriend and I took over 50 pictures with different animals and in different locations so the USB was definitely worth it to have lots of pictures together!
I'd definitely recommend this experience if you are going to visit one of the experience parks e.g. Xel ha, Xcaret, Xplor. Take comfortable footwear because it is a long day and a lot of walking!
