“Lively Night at Villa Maria”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Great service and good food reasonably priced. The music was non stop and good fun played by local mariachi bands! Fantastic Margaritas....

“Pleasant spot for lunch even if not truly authentic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

There is some debate in the below reviews as to whether this is a local gem or a cheesy tourist trap.

All I would say is that this place provided a very pleasant atmosphere and a great selection of tasty food. Is it targeted at tourists, sure, is it obnoxious and cliche ridden, not at all.

Definitely worth considering for a relaxed lunch in the Polanco area.

“My favourite restaurant in Polanco, Mexico D.F.”

Wonderful atmosphere. Folkloric. Great decorations. Trio music in the afternoon, mariachis in the evening. Excellent and friendly service. Good food and the biggest Margaritas I have ever seen!! Must go there.

“Fast and fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Terrific food that comes out almost as soon as you order. The restaurant has sayings painted on the wall as well as cute paintings of significant Latin people. The live mariachi band really made it entertaining.
