“Wow what an experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

You will be amazed having a meal here. The architecture is amazing. You will feel like you are back in time. The food is very good and the place is always full. Service is good. It is an experience you will not forget.

“Great for breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

We were at the Cafe Tacuba twice during our Mexico City visit. Diner is okay but not too special; breakfast however is great because of the very tasty pastries and cakes. The molletes are also recommendable.

“The Whole Soggy Enchilada”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

The food was awful. My husband had a specialty chicken dish in a cream sauce, and the chicken was cold and tough, which we returned to the kitchen. The enchiladas I had were soggy, swimming in sauce. The prices were high and the food quality poor. Too bad, nice atmosphere, but we definitely felt like we were in a tourist trap, a restaurant resting on its long bygone reputation.

“It's ok - not more not less”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

It is a nice restaurant, but from my view not necessarily a must see/go location. There are many other nice restaurants with a great flair/atmosphere with a much better price/quality ratio.

“Delicious food and great atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

My daughter and I were in Mexico City for 5 nights and we had dinner at Café Tacuba twice. We loved the atmosphere, the tiles, the good service and especially the food. The Tortilla soup was delicious. The tamale of queso y rajas was very large but very light and delicious. The waiters and waitresses were very good, they are definitely professional waiters. The host (manager?) recognized us the 2nd time, remembered which table we had sat at and the wine we had ordered. :) In short, it is a wonderful restaurant which is reasonably priced. Highly recommended
