“¿La Clima Más Mejor?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

A place to keep returning to year after year. Great temps, slow pace, easy access from GDL. Stay a week or a month and unwind.

“Lush cool lake like a Mexican Lake Como!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

From what I was told this lake is home to more than 10,000 US and Canadian expats, and I can see why. There are lovely sunsets and cool starry nights on the shores of this lake. For a good meal, not far from the stutue of "Christ the Fisherman", you can sit at an open air restaurant and eat fresh fish from Puerto Vallarta. I had fillet of fish in garlic sauce-yummy!!!

“Relaxing and very Beautiful,”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

A group of 12 visited the lake in November, and it was by far the most relaxing thing we could of done on our trip to guadalajara... the food was great, all the little shops and live music ... we were kind of sketchie about going there but definately had an AWESOME time

“Beautiful Sunsets”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Take your camera, especially if you go toward sunset- some of the best pictures you will ever get. The view is scenic, and the walk around the park with the fountains, plants and statues are too. There is a nearby Catholic church, and some restaurants; but we just got the gelato in the park!
My two favorites so far- raspberry and the hazelnut. There is also a small crafts markets where you can bargain- just make sure you are wanting what you are bargaining for and be fair. Sometimes there is a mariachi band on the plaza too! Make sure you look up when you walk out to the gazebo on the pier-the entire ceiling is a mural. A good time,

“A day in Lake Chapala and Ajijic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Chose the Tequila grand Tour Company forca day trip to the area.
A stop at Vicente's ranchbwas impressive with the largest cowboy store in Mexico.

On to the town of Lake Chapala, walked the pier and thecwalkway along the lake front, checked outvthe market, the city hall mural and the photos in the museum.

To Ajijic for a walking tour of the artisan streets, impressed with one lady wear store as the seamstress worked right on site.
Lunch on the lake, beautiful setting and catering to foreigners... German , Italian and American choices
