“Really sweet little museum...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012

with lots of beautiful ceramics. Huge collection of fascinating miniatures. Even if you think it's not your thing, stop into this little hidden (and shady cool) collection of rooms. Not a whole lot here, but a nice little getaway from the main street.
I love Tlaquepaque!
Don't forget to check out the market, and stop in for some real authentic food. Don't be scared.

“Wonderful look at old arts in Guad.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2012

Not only the history of clay work here, but also an old colonial house. The kitchen will remind of the old Mexican house on Calle Olvera in Los Angeles, if you have seen it.

“Small but good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2012

A fun museum to visit on the main (pedestrian) street in Tlaquepaque. Many excellent examples of old and new ceramics made in the town, and a nice didactic exhibit of how ceramics are made. They usually have artisans in the courtyard peddling their wares. Nice!

“Worth a quick visit while you're in Tlaquepaque”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012

Although we have visited Tlaquepaque several times before, this was our first time to see the ceramic museum. If you like ceramics and the decorative arts, you should stop in. It's free, it's right on the main pedestrian street (galleries, shops, restaurants), and it won't take you long to see the displays of high-fire and low-fire pottery and the remarkable decorative styles. As other reviewers have noted, there is almost no explanatory signage, so unless you are already knowledgeable in Mexican ceramic history, you'll have to be content with the beauty and variety of the pieces. And that alone is worth the time to explore the museum.
