“in desperate need of renovation...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

great breakfast, and very corteous staff...but this place needs a renkvation asap:

rooms smell of humidity
aged and badly designed bathrooms
got 2 rooms and neither of them had a working safe box
and if you leave your car at the valet parking, every time you need a stamp from the front desk, making you wait until any of the 2 people at the front desk finish with a customer...

this brand used to stand for luxury and service in mexico, today is just mediocre..

It's a very nice hotel. It has the most complete gym I've seen so far in hotels. Be warned, they do try to charge you for everything. The breakfast buffete and the restaurant are way overpriced I believe, but it has a bar/lounge that makes up for everything in at particular area.

It's in the city and close to one of the most impressive malls in latin america (or so I was told, the mall called Andares, it's a very nice mall).

Overall it was a nice experience. I stayed for 5 days and the only bad thing I could saw, again, they try to charge you for everything, including the internet (by the day).

NEGATIVE: it rains in Guadalajara for months and there is no covered walk way from rooms to lobby so expect to get drenched. This is a large hotel but it is 1 story and getting to your room can be a long walk if you're carrying shopping bags or in my case pregnant with twins.
But the WORST part are the bathrooms. I'm petite and I found the bathrooms horribly uncomfortable because they're too small. There's only 3 or 4 inches from the edge of the toilet seat to the shower wall on one side and to the sink on the other side. The shower head is too low.
POSITIVE: This is an old hotel but it is kept in good condition. The breakfast buffet is very good. The bedroom area of the rooms is spatious. For us the location was great but Guadalajara is such a big city whether it will work for you depends on your plans. Service is good, staff is well trained.

Great hotel in Guadalajara, Mexico with great service and loads of green areas. Rooms are good with good bathrooms and all with a balcony. the buffet breakfast great. You can get all types of Mexican dishes. Worth having a go.

Room Tip: If you have the time to enjoy the pool try and get a room near one of the three pools. They are smal...

We did the Farma Forum an event for the Pharmaceutical Industry in Guadalajara and need a Hotel that can have a 200 people event in a nice ambience...at beginning the staff of the hotel was not paying to much attention to us, but when I complain everything flow fine...The support from the captain and waitress, the technical assistance and the timing were fine...everything was 0k...additional to see the grass and to breathe the air is a plus for this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask when you make your reservation if include wifi...

The overall service was ok and considering the age of the facility no maintenance issues. Hopefully you are not heavy luggage as there are no elevators.

Now, the ever present fucshia colored walls and attire of the staff have to go. It is in sync with nothing.

Everything was ok. The room we get was awesome, just near the swimming pool, adhoc for our romantic weekend. CONS: This hotel, as the same as others of this price, charge for everything, even the internet and the parking.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the swimming pool.
