“4 designs in four centuries”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

A very large cathedral with different alters and spaces, with 4 distinct styles-making it a bit odd depending on where one stands! The lower level where priests are entombed is worth the visit.

“Just ok”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Can't remember much. Nothing sticks out for me just that it is central. Skip it. Wait for a wedding to spruce it up.

“Convenient for tourists”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

This place is OK as far as Cathedrals go. What I enjoyed was sitting at the restaurant with the umbrellas and watching people come and go into the Cathedral. Since it is on a road that is high traffic, it is easy to find transportation when you wish to leave, including the subway.

“Sort of a let down for such a large city in Mexico”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

You should visit this cathedral by all means, but I was not that impressed with its "grandeur". I've seen more magnificent churches and cathedrals in Mexico. But you should include this in your visit to GDL.
