This was an amazing dinner! I have been coming to Zihuatenejo for 11 years and have tried everything from vendors on Las Gatas to fine dining at some local spots and by far Candela is my new favorite. I was with friends who live here and have eaten everywhere (except there) and my husband. We each had something different to put Chef Richardo through the paces. The rib eye was outstanding and flavorful, the pork chop was tender with the most amazing adobe sauce, stuffed avocado was abundant with shirmp, and the tender spaghetti had lovely chunks of well spiced fish and tasty shrimp. Our waiter was super attentive and friendly with English learned in Seattle (so he speaks well...it's my hometown). He also had a KauKan shirt on because I believe this is a related restaurant. It shows in the quality of the food but the prices are reasonable enough to eat there everyday and we might. This restaurant is a MUST try for dinner and hear breakfast and lunch are great too.
