“More of a nature walk”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

Having been to many botanical gardens in the states, I was disappointed that this was more of a nature walk and very steep pathways. We are in our 60's so the trail walk up was very tiring and with the heat, it was not enjoyable. The restaurant has a great view and garden areas surrounding the restaurant are beautiful.

“Beautiful Nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

What a wonderful walk in nature this is! There are signs to tell us what plants/trees we are looking at, such as vanilla, coffee, different palms, etc. There is a beautiful wrought iron gazebo over a little bridge, a valley to view, a small swinging bridge, red banana tree, orchids, a hillside of agave plants , a restaurant with yummy, reasonably-priced food if you feel the need, etc. You can walk through an area of signed foliage, go into the valley, sit and enjoy Mexican food and drink. You can catch a regular city bus in Old Vallarta, at the corner of Aguacate & Carranza, for a few pesos, that takes you there. The distance is approximately 30 minutes and very scenic.A taxi can be hired for a higher price of course. To get back to PV you stand beside the road and a bus will stop and pick you up. We have gone twice already and enjoyed it differently each time.

“A great Mexican Jungle Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

There were three of us all "seniors" yet we took the Jaguar Trail it was the most difficult trail, but slow and steady we finished and had a great lunch at the restaurant. The servers were impressed when we let them know we completed the trail.

“A PV surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013

This was a wonderful surprise and the Terrace dining was fabulous, overlooking the jungle valley and the river. Excellent food. Next time we will arrive earlier to see more of the grounds and the plantings. One of the highlights of PV.
