“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

I went there in February with 10 family members and we found a very relaxing place on the beach called"El Bruho"were we had lunch and drinks. Our waiter was fantastic and never left our side,in fact the entire staff was outstanding. I will be back . Oh yes,we took the bus from PV in front of Walmart ( very cheap ) and returned via van also inexpensive..

“Small Town Flea Market”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

If you are looking for that authentic small town flea market experience then this is it. Not too big of a place. It can be covered in about an hour. Don't buy the Cuban cigars. Everone is selling them but they are all fake.

“Great lil town.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

When in P.V., make sure to visit the town of Bucerias. A $ 2.00 bus ride, or a $ 20.00 cab ride. Resturants on the beach, and around town. I have been here many times, and have always enjoyed it. The local gals that cook right in main square, are the best. Last time I had 2, lil snappers. They cooked them with a fantastic coating of something,,,,great! Take the time and visit, you wont be disappointed.

“Big changes through the years”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

I have visited Bucerias for more than 25 years and have seen it change from basicaly a farming and fishing village into a tourist town. 25 years ago, it was a hard scrabble place, dusty, dirty, noisy, and yet charming. It seemed somewhat remote from PV at that time, as the highway was only two lanes and went through several miles of pure farmland with no development!

Now the town is a highly developed tourist town and has a large ex-pat population. There are numerous high-end restaurants, high-rise condos. The town is at least three times larger than it was 25 years ago. There have been some great improvements: no more raw sewage dumped on the beach, better streets reducing the dust that used to permeate everything. In spite of a few incidents it still seems to be safe. The town square is a place of interesting vendors and activities.. Visit El Lugar for great pizza. It is located upstairs on the west side on the church.

“Quaint Mexican Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Just north of Nuevo, which is modern Mexico, you can experience old Mexico. Stroll through the Bucerias flee market and shop and enjoy lunch or dinner at one of their great restaurants. There is horse riding on the beach and a great churro stand at the town square during the evenings.
