If you enjoy good drinks and home-cooked food and meeting interesting people, expats Rick and Sara's bar/restaurant is sure to please. Mordidas is located on the second floor with views of the Rio Cuale in in the Buenos Aires colonia, where you will experience a primarily Mexican neighborhood just a short distance from the more touristed areas. The place is small and charming, with an informal atmosphere that leads to lively conversation among the guests and the hosts. Rick does the cooking and Sara makes the (strong) drinks and serves guests. Oysters in various forms are standard items plus a rotating menu of lasagna, fried chicken, chili, and such (check the website before you come to see what's cooking). Come for the inexpensive, good food and drinks, and you'll surely leave with some new friends as well as insights about life in Puerto Vallarta and the interesting folks who have made it their home -- even if only for a temporary visit.
