“The food is great and the music on Sunday night is even better.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

This is a fairly new restaurant in Puerto Vallarta but it was wonderful. I had dinner there twice and also had breakfast, both were very good. THeir Mahi Mahi Casino style is excellent...the steaks were very good too....the music on Sunday night is D'Rachael and Antonio....on the harp, flute and keyboard....they are very good and I love to hear them play....Please continue to play!!!!

“Beautiful setting & great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2014

The restaurant is lovely, the food is really good, with vegetarian options - like the enchiladas. Wine list is lengthy. Music is lovely without being disruptive. Ask for Oscar and he will take great care of you.

“Breakfast so good went back for lunch the next day.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2014 via mobile

Walked by this restaurant (new since here last year) and was impressed by the attractive decor so looked at menu and liked it as well. Decided to give it a try for breakfast. Husband ordered steak (flank) & eggs, I ordered huevos rancheros eggs. Everything was very good so we decided to go back for lunch the next day. My husband wanted to try the Calamari with chipotle aioli. It was delicious as well as my chicken fajitas. We shared both entrees along with complimentary chips and pico do gallo. Also enjoyed 2 for 1 margaritas. We left very full and satisfied. The service was friendly and accommodating. The food preparation and presentation excellent. Highly recommend Old Town Bistro.

“Great food, great prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

Nice ambience, great food, huge portions and reasonable prices. What's not to like?? The service was excellent, we went on a Wed night and they had a live guitar player who had a nice voice and smooth songs. I had the Rib Eye steak and it was excellent and huge, 14 oz! My friends had Chicken Parmesan over pasta and she loved it, my other friend had Pork tenderloin with a cherry glaze and he also loved it. Most meals were under 200 pesos, nice price!! And located right downtown to boot!!

“No Happy Hour/no "spirit" for Christmas Day”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

My friends and I (about 15 in total, and all year round PV residents) made a reservation to eat here on Christmas day, and looked very forward to the experience. Being a jovial bunch, we all enjoy talking and to have the occasional glass of alcohol to compliment our conversations. This restaurant proudly displays the "Happy Hour from 1 to 6 pm" everyday, so we did not think this would be changed for this special day. To our avail, when we arrived to the Bistro, happy hour was not available the one day of the year that we decided to try this restaurant. The service was very delayed, taking over 1.5 hours to prepare all of our meals, even though the restaurant only had about 4 tables to tend to (this was about 2:30 pm in the afternoon), and my assumption was that they delayed our meals to have us order further "full priced" drinks since there was not a happy hour. Unfortunately, my taste buds were soured from the beginning of this experience, and I was not happy with the restaurant managements "not so Christmas like "spirit".

Most restaurants do not offer specials in conjunction with other specials, most people realize this.
