We stayed here in January 2013. We had an amazing experience. The resort is beautiful and the service is excellent. The food was really good, and it was really easy to access the a la carte restaurants (i.e. you would never have to eat at the buffet unless you wanted to). Because of the towers, most rooms have amazing views of the water. The beach is beautiful and relatively private since (although some vendors come from boats to sell things). We had no problems getting lounge chairs by the pool or beach, even when we were looking late in the day. The spa was beautiful. We would happily come back to this resort in the future.

Many visits to PV but this was the best. Food was amazing and limited access to the beach made it much nicer not to have to say "no" to the vendors all day long. Every visit to PV has been the best in weather. Only negative is to be careful in the sea, as it can be dangerous if you are not careful...

This was our first trip to Dreams in Puerto Vallarta and after this trip we said to ourselves, "why go anywhere else?" From the moment we arrived on the property to the time we left, our experience was awesome! We were met at the front entrance with a glass of champagne for each of us. Our room was in the old tower, which probably needs a bit of updating, but it was very clean and quiet! Each room has a great view of the ocean. The bed was a king size bed and very comfortable. Room equipped with flat screen TV, A/C, hair dryer, a stocked fridge (which they re-stock every day), personal amenities, and a safe for personal items. They come to clean twice a day and you can request to have the bed turned down if you wish. The food was delicious, having 5 excellent restaurants, and a small food stand on the beach. They also offer room service, which was quick and had a good variety of food to choose from. We ate breakfast at the Oceana almost every day. We made it a point to eat at each restaurant while we were there and they all rank excellent in our opinion! The waiters were very attentive and thoughtful. It was terrific! There are numerous bars, including a swim-up bar, a fitness center (well equipped and clean), a spa, and 3 swimming pools with hot tubs. They have a tennis court and a paintball area for added fun! They have a banquet hall where they put on a Caribbean NIght and the waiters all dressed as pirates! Live entertainment followed with dancers dressed in very colorful costumes! They also have the Coco Cafe where I could get my morning mocha, however it is open until 7 at night! They also offered sandwiches and desserts. The Coco Cafe also has a couple of computers for use. The staff throughout the whole resort is amazing! From the front desk to the groundskeepers to the housekeeping staff, to the chefs, waiters and hostesses to the bartenders and Dream Entertainment Team~~~ all were very professional and took pride in their service to the guests. They are very courteous and friendly, always willing to do whatever you ask of them. And when you say thank you, they say "it is my pleasure". They are great, and we looked forward to seeing them each day! We also were able to see the whales breaching in the bay, and took part in the turtle release! Dreams has something for everyone, whether it's more on the quiet side, or finding lots of activities to participate in. Awesome!

We just returned from a week at Dreams PV and it certainly lived up to our expectations. We stay in the Preferred Club rooms which are very comfortable and spacious. The availability of breakfast and afternoon snacks in the lounge was much appreciated too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Being on its own small bay with a private beach is a big advantage. It's quiet and has plenty of loungers for everyone. Part of the beach doesn't get the sun until later in the morning but that's the only downside.

The restaurants were superb and we had great dishes in each one. The lamb osso bucco at Portofino was as good a lamb shank as I've eaten. The seafood at Oceana and Seaside Grill was simply but effectively prepared and allowed us to really appreciate the flavour of the fish. The Mexican food at El Patio gave us a new appreciation for just how good it can be.

We booked through WestJet Vacations and their service at the airport and hotel also helped make the vacation really enjoyable.
