I was recently married here and had high hopes of things turning out wonderful, but Lindsay, Adam, Nacho, and the Playa Fiesta Staff far exceeded any expectation that we had, and helped us to create and host a truely perfect wedding weekend beyond our wildest dreams. Our friends and family still can't stop talking about what an incredible vacation they were each given and how amazing the wedding was. We hosted 58 guests, from a Thursday thru Monday, including a young child and 3 infants, and the hotel was so accomodating from the very beginning to any special needs, including cribs, special linens, dietary restrictions, etc. Everyone truly felt like Playa Fiesta was their home away from home by the time we all left.

The wedding planning process with Lindsay and Melissa was stress free and actually very enjoyable. They were both so quick to respond to any questions I had, and went above and beyond to find a way to make any idea we came up with a reality. The festivities began with a welcome dinner and a spectacular fire dance/drumming show. I would highly recommend this, our guests loved the surprise, it was a great way to get people excited and start the celebration, and the performers were so talented! We arranged for our actual wedding ceremony to be in the evening on Saturday, which isn't what the hotel had typically done in the past, but Lindsay & Adam were more than willing to work with us on every aspect of our vision. The evening ceremony was even more beautiful and romantic than we could have imagined. We decorated the whole ceremony area in candles galore and began the processional just after sunset. The guests were blown away by the ambiance that was created and it was such a beautful thing to have the sounds of the waves crashing behind us. I would urge anyone who is planning a wedding at Playa Fiesta to consider having an evening ceremony, not only for the romance of it all, but also for the lack of stress that having a later evening wedding provided. We had all day to prep and rest and there was no rush in getting ready in order to start during the light of day. We were really able to dictate the pace of our day as opposed to being rushed by the setting sun & fading light. The cooler evening temperature and lack of glaring sun really was much more comfortable for all of the guests as well. We did fireworks during the reception, which again, I would recommend, as it was a spectacular show and a great surprise for our guests! All of the guests have raved about the food. There was so much variety to choose from when planning our daily dinner buffets and the quality of food is really some of the best I've had in all of Mexico.

As many other people before me have previously reviewed, the staff at Playa Fiesta is really hands down the best staff you could ever come by. Charlie, Noe & Patricio got to know all of our friends and family and really made them feel at home. They put up with our late night antics ;) and were so genuinely kind and professional. We could not thank them and all of the other staff, enough for their attention to detail and the level of care they gave to each and every guest.

All 28 rooms in this boutique hotel are clean and decorated with simple perfection. We had no problem assigning rooms, and despite some varying levels of views and size, every guest was completely satisfied with the quality of their room. Having a whole hotel, with every room filled with your closest friends and family, only added to the experience and provided a sense of safety and intimacy that we never would have had at some large hotel. We had every inch of the hotel all to ourselves and really were free to make the place ours for the weekend. The location of the hotel itself is great as well. We were a 5 minute taxi ride to Old Town, which had great shops and bars and ambiance for our guests that did want to explore a bit, and it was only a 30minute ride from the airport. But truly, our guests were so content at the hotel, most didn't even feel the need to leave! We did arrange a boat trip for about half of the guests on the Friday before the wedding, which actually turned out to be a ton of fun as well.

We hope to go back for our 1 year anniversary to visit all of our new family from Playa Fiesta, and I have a feeling many of our wedding guests will also be planning a return trip with us! It was a once in a lifetime event and I am so grateful we chose Playa Fiesta because it was every inch and more of what I dreamed it to be!
