“A bit of stillness during a "busy" vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

The point of a vacation should be to relax, but sometimes you move just as fast on you trip as you do when you're back home. We love to get an early jump to the day and go, go, go. But sometimes, you need to dial it back down.

When you've had your fill of laying on the beach or near the pool to relax, another great way to unwind is to visit Contacto Natural. It's a short jaunt from where we usually stay near Mismaloya. The grounds are small, yet simple. The highlight for us was their hamam, where we sat in silence for 30 minutes and sweat out all of the toxins from our trip. After that, a peaceful walk through their grounds and then a little lunch (which they provide), and you are right as rain.

I recommend swinging by for a little detoxification the day before you jump on the plane. It's a great way to mentally prepare yourself for the long trip back home and back to the day to day rigor of normal life!

Yoga, massage, swimming in a crystal clear river. Comfortable rooms with an outstanding Mexican breakfast. Peaceful rural surroundings in a 10 minute cab ride to the hustle and bustle of Puerto Vallarta and 15 minute hike to a peaceful beach south of town. The owner Coco will take good care of you. Lush flora and fauna.

I spent a couple of days in this very special location close to Puerto Vallarta and so natural. Its the perfect cheap and nevertheless classy place you would like to stay if you're looking for peace and nature. Alongside the river, up in the mountains but 10mns from the beach, this 10 room hotel is oriented to fitness, health and tranquility. Theres a small pool, a jacuzzi, a temazcal which is the mexican sauna with indian rituals they provide, excellent massage and lots of place to read a book or just relax in the hamacs. Food is natural with french flavours and extremely healthy. You´re asked everyday what menu you would go for and the fish is fresh from the same day. I highly recommend the place if you feel that luxury is not the furnisher you have in the room but the people you are with and the atmosphere the owners provide....Europeens love this place.... Its a must and it is so affordable...!!!
