“Fabulous vacation at Fiesta Americana Vallarta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

This was our fifth time to Puerto Vallarta and I would have to say the best ever! We had to make last minute travel rearrangements due to another hotel, but we were able to get the 9th floor with great view. The breakfast and appetizers that were included made it very convenient for us, although we decided to take the Continental Breakfast at the restaurant with better selection and view. The rooms were recently remodeled, and the quality was amazing. I would not change a thing!

The staff really did a fantastic job of making this a fabulous vacation for us. ANGELES, our maid, and LUZ, with kids club, were very friendly and listened to my poor spanish. PARIS and NACHO at the pool were always available to answer any questions you could think of. ANDREA, ALEJANDRO AND CITLALI went above and beyond to try and keep up with the 9th floor demands. The floor was very full and these 3 did a super job keeping up with everything. Could still use more plates and silverware, but I assume the more you put out, the more people take!

Lastly, CARMELLO and his staff at the Beach restaurant CHAULVISTA made us feel very special. The food was great and the service outstanding. The only thing I would suggest is a better quality at the nightly Buffet., but I am not sure if these guys are involved with the Buffet. We ate there twice, and it was ok, but not great.

The location, pool, cleanliness, beds, view, and quality of materials throughout made this a 5 star for us. We will be back!

Room Tip: The 9th floor had the best view. But anything above 4 or 5 will get you above the tree line.

Close to downtown, airport, stores and Marina. Very nice beach. Concierge Hector Ramos very happy to help with any request. Beach service staff of Patricia, Rafael, Mavi, Carlos and Ignacio "Nacho" super attentative. Patricia and Nacho just like family by end of week. Good restaurants within walking distance besides great ones downtown. Pool and beach area great for kids. Felt very safe in Puerto Vallarta, unlike other cities in Mexico, even with the crowds of Holy Week. Junior Suite room has huge patio area with chairs and chaise lounges, very clean and well maintained.

This Hotel finished our trip in Grand Style!
Our group found ourselves scrambling for accommodation on one of Mexico's busiest weekends and Janeth not only found us the rooms we needed, and put the cherry on top by offering us the Presidental Suite at a very reasonable cost! This room was .... Quiet, after many days with beach venders,
With our own pool and lounging patio, and the 2 bathrooms with jacuzzi tub and shower for many( lol) we found ourselves in Paradise. And the Food.... Outstanding! One of us celibrated a Birthday in Fiesta Americana Style...all day they spoiled Her! From our continental breakfast to evening appy's and wine everything was incredible!
When we came down from our roof top oasis for dinner we where treated to outstanding service and amazing food!
Yes this is one Hotel I will be retiring to in the future!
And again a big Thank You to Janeth and all the Staff at the Fiesta Americana

My family and I just spent our Spring Break vacation at the Fiesta Americana. Prior to traveling there was allot of news about how the area is so unsafe. I beg to differ, we found it to be very safe. We traveled downtown via taxi service and the public busses, walked around late in the evening, and the marina area. We found all the locals we encountered to be very helpful, always willing to assist. Our time at the Fiesta Americana was very relaxing with plenty of entertainment options at the resort as well as nearby. What was very surprising to me was how reasonably priced the onsite restaurants were at the resort. Excellent menu options at very reasonable prices. Two restaurant shot outs I would like to recommend – Pipi’s in downtown and Blake’s about a 15 minute walk from the resort.
I can’t wait to return to the Fiesta Americana in Puerto Vallarta. I will defiantly be back!

Room Tip: We stayed in a junior suite. These are all on the 1st floor, generally I prefer rooms on higher floo...

I took my 17 year old and 27 year old daughters to Mexico -- it was their first time. The hotel location was perfect for relaxation. We were close enough to town to take a bus ride or short taxi ride, but after the hustle and bustle of downtown shopping and vendors constantly trying to get your attention, we were grateful to be staying away from town. We had a wonderful beach area and the pool was incredible -- very warm and had a swim up bar. This seemed like a good place for children since they seemed to have activities going on for them during the day, and even a birthday party one night. The hotel entertainment wasn't very exciting, but we enjoyed happy hour at the beach bar a few nights -- though it closes too early. For breakfast, you have the option of a full buffet or order off the menu -- the food wasn't great but it was good. The Italian Restaurant was excellent with very reasonable pricing with seating outdoors. We enjoyed sitting under the palapas on the beach and Patricia was very attentive bringing us food and drink as needed. I don't recommend doing all-inclusive since there are so many good restaurants downtown.

We booked our El Eden Zip Line Tour and the Mexican Fiesta at the Sheraton Hotel thru Pedro of Alejandro's Excursions -- his booth can be found on the main drag in Playa de los Muertos. Pedro went above and beyond for us and was very accommodating when I kept calling him to change the date of our zip line tour. I highly recommend both tours and Pedro was very honest and very customer oriented. When I go back to Puerto Vallarta, I will be staying here!

My husband and I visited the Fiesta Americana for the second time the beginning of March. We booked an all-inclusive package through Sunquest which gave us a direct flight on Westjet from Victoria, BC. From beginning to end it was an overall wonderful experience. As everyone else has said in their reviews, the resort is lovely and the staff exceptional. Since we usually sat in the same area on the beach, near the Sunset Bar we were served by Patricia, Mavi, Rafael, Carlos and Ignacio, all wonderful and hard-working people. The number of repeat visitors is really quite impressive which says volumes about the hotel. Our only negative has nothing to do with the hotel but with the 'Friendly' resort next door, which had music blasting every night until about 5 a.m. in the morning. Luckily the sliding doors to the balcony are quite soundproof and the music didn't actually keep us awake. However it would have been nice to have been able to sit out on the balcony late at night to admire the lights over downtown, the stars, and listen to the surf but that was out of the question. Other than that it was perfect. Great people, good food and drink and a well managed and cared for hotel, in a wonderful location. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: All rooms are oceanview but floor 5 and above gets you above the palm trees. There are smoking and n...

My family and I recently stayed at the Fiesta, the resort was beautifully laid out and access to all of the facilities was simple, the beach was close and the atmosphere was purely Mexican. What made our stay special was the staff, I have stayed in thousands of hotel rooms but this place had some special people working there. Patricia, Rosalio, Marlon, and Erika made us feel welcome and comfortable. Everyone had a smile and was helpful, my son who is learning Spanish at school was given special attention to help with his skills. The Fiesta is a favourite of the Mexican people and the hotel was busy with locals during our Easter stay.
The room was clean and well laid out, the beds were supposed to be queens but they were more like Canadian doubles. The only issues we had were the wifi did not work in the room and the music was loud and sometimes too late in the evening. The food was authentic and after some trial and error we found the outlets we enjoyed immensely. The Fiesta is close to the Malecon and old town to make touring very easy. The spa programs were reasonable and my Therapist Brenda was well trained and very professional.

Room Tip: Stay higher up in the north side of the hotel for a quieter stay.
