As good as it gets! Hard to explain the open air concept, we stayed in #5, it is great. I am sure they all are. Definitely go for the house chef, great food, great price. Easy walk to beach, nutbuster coming back, we actually started to pay $2 to take a cab up the hill, the beach is first class, great snorkling, not crowded. Highly Recommended!

Stayed in Villa 3 (the mini penthouse). This was, by far, the vacation of a lifetime. No need to leave the unit; everything you need for a dream vacation is there. Having your own pool is the way to go. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to sample the life of luxury.

Ocho Cascadas, hands down, was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had! We stayed in Villa 1, which is the only one-bedroom and did not have a pool but a hot tub instead. From what we had heard and read, Villa 1 was the least desirable. Although the street noise could at times be annoying, the fresh sounds of the crashing ocean and the fabulous views more than made up for the minor annoyance. While villa 3 or above would be ideal, I would still recommend villa 1 if you have the opportunity to go. The service was impecable (Antonio, in particular). A massage therapist and a rotating chef are available for your convenience and we would highly recommend both. In addition, Ocho Cascadas has the most desirable location in PV. A taxi ride is $3 to the best part of the city (Old Vallarta) or a bus ride for $1.50. If you are looking for a resort that is relaxing, beautiful, and romantic, choose Ocho Cascadas!
