We stayed for a week at Casa Anita #20 so we were all the way at the top. Booking went smoothly-Sonia was very helpful throughout the process. We got the voucher for cabs to and from the airport and that was so helpful. They provided a couple complementary food items to get us started as part of our package. It was slow season so not many people around which we didn’t mind-nice and quite. Had the pools all to ourselves. Rogelio, the concierge was so helpful especially with suggestions-he was a great resource throughout the week. I also have to mention the cleaning staff that did a great job daily, towels changed daily and they didn’t look old and very clean. They changed the sheets daily also. I loved the washbasin quite unique and the art work around the hotel very unique. Our suite was quite quaint-the view is to die for! We took so many pictures from that balcony. The a/c unit worked just great and did wonders because it was very hot in PV while we were there. The pool sure helped after a long day out especially when we visit the zoo. Oh we also got to change our US to Peso there to start our trip which was helpful on Day 1. Sooo the stairs-while we were well aware and welcomed the exercise, next visit we’re definitely skipping the view and staying on a lower unit. Noise factor-it’s on a hill off the main highway-I don’t know if it’s because we live right by a highway so we didn’t have a noise issue-perhap others from quieter settings might notice noise. Vehicle noise never disrupted my sleep but night creatures did and that’s because I was plain scared. I rather hear cars than whatever it was making that knocking sound! Distance from town-we walked to town and the Malecon just about everyday-Cabs also pass right by and the bus stop is down the road so very accessible. We walked home after 12 at nights from the Malecon. If too tired we grabbed a cab for 40peso We look fw to our return to PV…u just can’t beat that price if on a budget!
PS be sure to tip the staff-they work very hard.
