“Best beach in PV for Crystal blue water and white sand beaches....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2011

I was really really surprised that I never heard more about this beach from anyone. It must be one of the best kept secrets out there because I just stumbled across it looking at an advertisement for a vacation rental apartment that had a photo of the beach.

Definitely this is our FAVORITE beach in the area. It has crystal blue clean water and the current isn't strong so kids can play in the water or go off on floatation devices by themselves. The sand is white unlike much of PV's beaches.

Definitely you will need a car to come out here but it's not difficult to find. Just keep going South past Downtown PV and follow the signs for MIsmaloya and go past it. Then before you get to the Intercontinental Hotel there are steps that lead down to the public beach.

We've gone twice and we haven't seen ANY gringos at all. It's all been locals which is always a great sign. There are no umbrellas down there besides the private owners at the condos and that post is older that said you can have lunch there.

You can NOT eat at those restaurants anymore. They only let guests and owners of the condos so pack your own lunch. There are a few guys that walk around selling mangos, shrimp on a stick and some other bread...but nothing much so definitely bring your own food and drinks.

There is an EXCELLENT taco stand that you will pass on your way. It's right on top of the hill once you pass the Subway store. Definitely hit it and grab some tacos...they are really great and cheap and delicious!

There is plenty of parking on both sides of the street. We haven't had any problems at all. Just be careful on the stairway leading to the beach if you have kids....

But GREAT beach that is highly recommended. Our favorite beach in PV and we'll be back here.

“white sands”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2002

A more private beach known more to locals. I was the only "white" person on the beach and loved it. The water was so clear, and the snorkeling was almost better than it was on our snorkeling trip which we paid for! Has trees so you can get out of the sun if you got a little too burnt. I would most certainly go back for a second helping.
