“So romantic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

The best restaurants and kind people in this place, excellent food and drinks, the view of the beach is amazing, and the atmosphere is so romantic that you wish you could live there with the loved one.

“The Best part of Puerto Vallarta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

The Romantic Zone is the true heart of the city. From the beach clubs, restaurants, shops, salons and local markets, this quaint area offers something for everyone. Don't miss Cafe San Angel. fabulous coffee and drinks. Wonderful service. R Salon is the best for hair care. I can't wait to see Thomas there again this year. Best haircut that I have ever had and such reasonable pricing. El Dorado beach club is a must and of course, Andale's at night, is always a good time. Coco Tropical has good wine and escargot and amazing views of the sunset. Get a great massage at Metamorphasis with Angie and you will be totally stress free. We stayed in Selva for a month last year and everything we needed was within walking distance from the condo. This year we will be staying in Alborado. There are hotels and condos for every budget and beautiful B & B choices. Once you spend time in this beautiful area, you'll see why so many people come back year after year. Not to be missed!

“Nice to visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

I would not exactly call this the 'Romantic Zone' and not really sure why it is named that! But it is a nice place to walk around. Lots of cobblestone streets, restaurants and quaint souvenir shops with typical Mexican things like pottery, blankets & jewelry.

“Away from the cruise ships!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

I love the southside of Puerto Vallarta! Great little restaurants, plenty of shopping, the big mercado by the bridge. Check out the Old Town Vallarta Farmers Market on Saturdays from 10-2. Just a walk over the river bridge from El Centro takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city and into the charm of a Mexican neighborhood.
