The rooms suck! We had an ok time but paying for your room twice is not to cool. The staff was not helpful at all in regards to having to pay twice. The beach staff is great and so was the security guard who did everything. I would not stay at the hotel again but maybe go to to some of the roof top events. I don't really know why anyone would stay here it is not the best place to stay by far. We got to see a friends place one block away that was cheeper and so much nicer.

Fraud!!!!!! My partner and I made a reservation with the hotel website and paid in advance. We arrived with the paid travel voucher and were told by a very rude manager that they changed their billing staff and that we would have to pay again. Not knowing the city we did pay and took the matter up with our banks fraud department . Our lock in the room did not have a secondary lock or chain. The place was filthy and a lock missing on the balcony. Scam, Scam, Scam! Beautiful view but will not return to P.V. because of this experience.

This is a really charming hotel right on the beach. It's not a resort, but who cares? Don't stay here if you are expecting that! My partner and I felt like our room was our own little apartment. It's in the best part of town, and the hotel's food is great too (get the shrimp quesadillas). The rooftop bar has a great view, and the beach is equally beautiful. The staff was also great, everyone was so nice. Lastly, you can't beat the price. We had such a wonderful time that we are going back in 6 months! Highly recommended.

This is a true story about my vistit to Blue Chairs last week on my Mexico vacation.
In March I called the 800# listed on the BlueChairs web site and reserved a room. The women was very nice and had all the answers about the hotel, she even stated she had stayed there on three different vacations. The room catagory I wanted was available, the only concern is I would have to prepay for the four nights. I agreed and gave her my credit card number. The next day I received a paid in full voucher and was told to present this at the time of check in.
Six weeks later when I arrived at Blue Chairs I was told my travel agent (the lady off their web site) had not forward my payment to them, thus they would not honor my reservation. I was given the choice to pay them directly or leave. I was told she had done this to many of thier guests and she was nolonger an agent for Blue Chairs. The manager at the front desk did offer to discount my room by $100 if I agreed to stay the four nights and I agreed and once again pulled out my credit card and paid for four nights with the promise of a letter from the hotel explaining the fraud.
Like many of the reviews this hotel sits on a prime location but is sadly neglected even by Mexico standards. The bath towels were old and the bedding was too. The roof top pool is a joke and cafe and employees were very good, even the front desk.
Now here is the slap in the face. When I went to check out I was told I owed another $100 dollars. When I inquired why they stated that they didn't get enough for the room when I checked in. When I explained the situation and the agreement at check in they said sorry, he was wrong. The hotel guard was called in as I was debating with the manager who held my luggage as if to say your not going anywhere until we get paid.
Sadly I paid once again.
The hotel did produce and gave me a letter about the fraud which I'm disputing with my credif card company to date.I had also met three other hotel guests that had prepaid only to arrive to find their reservation would not be honored.
