I chose Los Arcos primarily for location and knew from reading previous reviews there could likely be difficulties with my reservation even though I made it 5 months in advance and confirmed via phone twice. Sure enough the room, (master suite), wasn't available for the first two nights. After meeting with the manager on duty and moving twice we got our room and of course a partial refund on rate as well as a nice fruit basket as an apology. The final room was great, wraparound balcony, comfortable pillowtop mattress, fridge and coffee maker and full ocean view.This is an older building but kept very clean and well maintained. You can't beat the location. You are on the beach, steps to a variety of restaurants. The hotel restaurant was fine too although we only ate there once. Every staff member we came in contact with was genuinely friendly and helpful. Planning on Los Arcos for next year and will just keep my fingers crossed on the reservations issue.
