Our plane had mechanical trouble so rather than sitting in the airport for hours, we changed our flight and grabbed a cab. Our driver recommended this hotel - and they graciously helped us even though we didn't have a reservation and gave us a budget room for the night. If you want to be in the old town section of PV, this is a perfect spot to walk to restaurants and shops. This section of town is crowded, there's a party going on and there are lots of gay couples/ clubs -– which adds to the party! The hotel is vintage but clean. Nice linens and towels. We had a tiny room with no view - but that's all we needed. It was tough to transition, though, from where we usually stay in either Nuevo Vallarta or Punta de Mita - where there is expansive beach and quiet resorts. The pool is right off the lobby and once you go to the beach, it's a madhouse. Fun if you're a 20-something or if you like a buzzing scene. It seemed kinda like the holiday inn express of PV. Good value and pleasant if this is the neighborhood you want.
WARNING - No wi-fi. There are lots of coffee shops nearby with wi-fi though.
