“Great Food, Service & Experiece”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

Enjoyed an excellent authentic Mexican dinner at La Chata. The best corn tortillas we have ever eaten - fresh, and tasty. The service was excellent as well. Great atmosphere overlooking the walkway along the ocean. Very comfortable. Highly recommend.

“Awesome dinner on the boardwalk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

Such a great night on the boardwalk at La Chata. A table overlooking the Malecon boardwalk with great food and fast service. Margarita's. guacamole , salsa, fresh tortillas and chips - shrimp, enchiladas, taco's -- so delicious and cheap!
Clean restaurant, clean bathrooms, fast service.

The beach table add a bit of romance to the evening with candle light and the good food and music. You will enjoy.

“A really nice evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

After taking advantage of the all inclusive dining at our hotel, our group of 4 ventured out to the Malecon for some different experiences. During the day, we came across a very friendly and charasmatic individual (the name escapes me) but I do believe he was a manager. He asked us if we wanted to come into his establishment and said that we would like to come back later for dinner if he could get us a table near the Mariachi band. He guaranteed us that we would have the best table in the place if we came by at 7pm. We were all a little skeptical of his promise but none the less, decided to pop by at 7pm. When we arrived, we were surprising greeted by a different hostess who addressed us by our names and showed us to a quaint table of four on the balcony right behind the Marichi band. It was a a perfect night with the best food of our trip. We had a few drinks and of course requested the traditional mexican themed songs that I am sure the band was sick of playing, and without any hesitation, they happily played all of them. We even got to dress up as Mexican bandits and for a small fee, were handed framed photos of our experience. It seemed cheezy, but everyone in our party enjoyed the experience, the view, the music and the atmosphere. It was by far, the best meal of our trip and most memorable.
