It was a beautiful resort!!!! Always clean. Staff are always asking about comfort and go out of their way to meet any needs. Great staff overall but service sometimes slow. Food was phenomenal! Both restaurants and the poolside bar/grill had a good variety.

This was our first visit to Garza Blanca and after one week we really did not want to leave. The resort is truly five star; service, design, the pool and the beach all contribute to this. We stayed in a junior suite in the hill tower. This suite was just perfect, with an amazingly comfortable bed, quiet aircon, spacious bathroom, which even had a bath tub with a floor to ceiling window. We were lucky enough to see whales from our balcony and from the restaurants almost every day of our stay, magical. We had the all inclusive option and loved the food at both the restaurants and poolside. The steak at Boca dos Stk was superb. The service during breakfast was occasionally a bit slow at the restaurants, but this is easily solved by ordering room service for breakfast and relaxing on your balcony while you wait.

There have previously been negative reviews regarding being pushed to hear about the timeshare options. We did not feel pushed at all and actually chose to go to the breakfast and on the resort "tour". We enjoyed this as we met the most amazing people and got a chance to look around the different room types.

We can't wait to go back again soon!

One of the great aspects of this resort is the pool area. It is a true paradise with staff to bring you anything you need or to move the umbrellas to get more sun or more shade. Ask for Alejandro... He goes above and beyond to make the guests feel welcome.

In fact the service at the resort has gotten a lot better... We have been coming for 3 years now. We will be back every six months!

Room Tip: We love the beach front rooms, but the mountain top rooms are new and very nice too.

This was my fifth visit. Each one gets better. First time using the all inclusive. Food was great at every restaurant.Try the Beet carpacchio with goat cheese.Alejandro and Miguel worked hard poolside keeping me filled with mojitos. Salvatore and Margarito worked hard out front as always.
The staff has this thing welcoming you by saying "Welcome home". I am a born cynic but it really seems they mean it. We also had the thrill of seeing a whale give birth offshore.

Room Tip: Every low level room faces the bay. We generally end up in 3602B.

If you are looking for a resort that has everything and like to be pampered then this is the place to be. A bit out of the way, but that is the nice thing, don't have to worry about the beach pedlars. Can't wait to go back again next year.

Room Tip: There is no bad room.

Just recently completed my third visit to Garza Blanca Resort in Puerto Vallarta.

This is what I like about the Hotel:

Well situated on a clean white sand beach
Close enough to town that you don't feel like a prisoner "on compound"
10 minute cab ride from Downtown - which is nice to experience the great PV restaurants!
Generally feels secure
Great pool!
Very comfortable beds in the rooms
Decent lighting in the rooms
Good food at the restaurants and great Margaritas!
Great staff, very friendly and accomodating
Good brands of soaps etc in rooms (L'Occitane)
Very Nice Spa with a great Relaxation area and beverages!
Very clean and well maintained
Beautifully situated in the Bay - can see both Los Arcos and downtown
Was able to see the whales roll by while seated at the pool!
Great sunsets particularly from the restaurants
The all - inclusive package doesn't skimp on the beverage brands and food offerings - no buffets!
You don't have to run to a chaise at the crack of dawn in hopes of securing one
Good and quiet HVAC systems in the rooms
Large - marble bathrooms and nice showers
Good clean available water

My only complaints:

The design of the Resort is a little too Tommy Bahama meets Z Gallery for my taste (I prefer more classic modern design but know this has little appeal for many)
I seem to be very prone to getting mosquito bites at this Resort (never happened any where else in PV) but with spray was able to mitigate that problem fairly easily... I was literally the only one at the Resort that seemed to have this problem...not quite sure why

One funny notable item:

They have a $9000 Toto toilet at the Boka Restaurant - it literally will wash and dry your behind with a hands free toilet seat! Not sure why anyone would need this at a restaurant but was worth a chuckle or two...

Room Tip: There really aren't bad rooms here. I think the tower will be very nice as an option. The Pent...

Spent a week there the first week of March and absolutely loved it. Very romantic, but not family un-friendly. Our first time to the west coast of Mexico and the mountains make for awesome views. Puerto Vallarta reminded us of a bigger version of Cozumel or Playa del Carmen on Mexico's east coast, and the resort is first class. The place is spotless, high-end, and beautiful. The food at all three spots (Blanca Blue, BocaDos, and poolside) was fantastic. And the sunsets cannot be beat. Tip; we found it was well worth while to listen to the time-share pitch. We had no intent on buying (nor did we), but it's a great way to tour the resort and the perks they gave more than made up for the 90 minutes it took. This included breakfast, 10% off everything purchased at the resort (including meals), and a free taxi ride back to the airport. Plus, I suspect that they upgraded us to a full suite because we agreed to listen to the pitch. The staff was kind and eager to please. A special shout out to Genero, our guide on our mountain hike (which is not for the faint of heart). He runs many of the activites and is a true asset to the resort.
