My wife and I went here for our honeymoon recently and really enjoyed our evening at Teatro Limon. It took us by surprise when the taxi pulled up to the restaurant, situated in the middle of a residential neighborhood and walked through the front door to what looked like someone's home! It was indeed the owner's home and he and his staff served us up a wonderful five course meal.
We found it a little intimidating when we asked to see a menu and then found ourselves talking with the owner who told us there is no menu, asked us what we were allergic to and what kind of food we like, then suggested our menu for us. We enjoyed a prime rib, wahoo fish, stuffed quail, the best salads we ever had, tomato bisque, and delicious chocolate mousse cake. He also gave us a bottle of wine on the house-so nice! They even called a taxi for us when it was time for us to leave.
Know ahead of time that you will spend at least $65 a person (which includes the five course meal regardless of what you are served). If not knowing prices for things like drinks, coffee, etc bothers you, come with an attitude of adventure and this may be a special occasion for you like it was for my wife and I.
Overall, we loved it, would totally recommend it, and would come back (as long as budget allows!)
