“Spectacular, everytime.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2013

We stayed at Casa Velas for a week in mid December. The choices on the menu provide a wide array of tastes. The only "issue" is I would have desired more local Mexican options. The food tasted great every time. And they would add or subtract items for your taste or nutritional needs. From now on, every restaurant we eat at will be compared to Emilano's.

“Continues to be the Best in Puerto Vallarta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

Emiliano's Restaurant continues to be the absolute best restaurant in PV in my opinion. It is always consistent, great quality, good sized portions, incredible options, great drinks and the absolute best service in a an atmosphere of tranquility, romance, and beautiful ambiance. Overlooking the Koi ponds and Casa Velas grounds and golf course, dining options are indoors or outside by candlelight. The Restaurant in in levels if indoors and feels very private. You may even see a peacock roam by outside.

A menu change, sent my mind reeling, oh my will it still be my favorite restaurant? Will I still love it? The answer is Yes, Yes and Yes!! Some new options were tasty and fun. Drinks as usual terrific with quality alcohol. Presentation is above and beyond as is service.
Some things we tried that were just great Rib Eye which was mouth watering tender, Roasted Chicken, juicy, tasty and not a usual pick for me as I eat a lot of chicken, but this was really good. Osso Bucco was excellent followed by apple strudel dessert. Beef Tenderloin wonderful, Filete de Res with yellow mole sauce with lobster, grape puree and ravioles with cheese and fine herbs tasty and quite different.

There is a good assortment of appetizers ranging from salads, to soups to nuts! My favorite was the crab cakes. Just delicious. There was a Salmon soup with pistachio, not being a soup lover, I tried it..Wow, it was just the best soup I have ever had, though quite filling, thankfully I shared with hubby. The only thing lacking int he soup was presentation. Just sort of plain but is just a soup, presentation or no it was the best!

We did have a yearning for some of the oldie but goodies and with advance notice they went out of their way to make for us. Top notch service for sure.
You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner here, well worth the AI price. The restaurant is open to public, adults only and with advance reservations. They know how to make an event special, so for a celebration of any kind this is the place, birthday, anniversary, etc.

The only thing I found lacking were the desserts as opposed to the older menu. It focuses on good desserts but not knock your socks off ones as before , like with Paris Delight which was my all time favorite. They had coco pie Yelapa style, apples trudel which was very good, a variety of ice creams, smooth, creamy, presented well and of high quality ice cream for sure. Big focus on sorbets, which are quite good and less in calories than some desserts, Passion fruit, Mango, Mojito sorbet, tequila sorbet all very tasty. Passion fruit being my favorite. I do hope they add to the dessert menu with a Wow Dessert, being a sweetaholic...LOL.

The hostess Lizbeth seats you with a smile, and to make a mention of the hard working, professional, best waiters around...Bernadino, Bennie the drinkmaker, Manuel and Miguel and Rangel, Manuel the Rest. Manager so sweet. Some others Javier, Leonardo, Cruz, Carlos, all of whom speak English and spanish of course, know how to serve with class, are hard working, polite and friendly and make for a more than pleasant meal with a huge desire to please. ( Hope I have not forgotten anyone if so, my apologies as no one should be forgotten here, the cook, behind the scenes and such a great job).

I cannot wait to return.....

“Most incredible restaurant in PV”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Incredible selection, specials and fresh, fresh, fresh! Typically you are resistant to eat in your hotel more than a few times, but we ate out and kept going back to Emiliano because it was so much better than another restaurant in Puerto Vallarta.
