“Our favorite!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2014 via mobile

We have been coming here over 20plus years!!!!! Great food, and such a fun place to enjoy great Mexican seafood!!!!! We always get there huge platter assortment and enjoy our margaritas!!! We even bought a bottle of their tequila!!! They like to come around and give you free tequila too!! The ambience is old historic Mexican, and the wait staff are always so friendly.

“Very hospitable, reasonable prices, always worth going back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

What I like about this restaurant is the hospitality. They genuinely want your service back. They pay attention to when your drinks are low, they'll ask you how your food is, and will greet you when you arrive and say thanks when you leave. I'd been here the year before and knew it was a trusted location, so we actually decided to dine here on Christmas Eve, and they had a great guitarist playing at the bar who was as skilled and nimble as the best of the musicians in PV.

We ordered seafood enchiladas and shrimp fajitas. I disagree with one of the other reviews saying that it's too "TexMex" or that its a tourist trap - it's not near as crowded or loud as some of the central restaurants. The fajitas are cooked well and the accompaniments are good - for example the sweet corn maiz. They also offer fresh guacamole that is prepared in front of you and a good quality tequila shot at the end of your meal.

The people range from tourists to large, local families. The prices are very reasonable. It's also a convenient walk for those people staying north of downtown PV.

“Good food, Good prices, Great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013 via mobile

I initially read about this restaurant in a hotel review. We also stayed at Villa Premiere which is about 2 blocks away. The service was great. We ate here for lunch and twice for breakfast. For lunch I had a combination with a tamale and enchilada. Afterwards we were offered free tequila shots. The service wasn't rushed which I learned to enjoy. It caused us to slow down and enjoy our vacation. For breakfast I had the chilequillas and the Vallarta waffle. I truly felt like they appreciated our business.

“El Andariego - Top Notch in Puerto Vallarta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

We have been to Puerto Vallarta 22 years in a row. As usual, we visited El Andariego. The quality of the food is excellent, and very reasonably priced. The whole staff knows us by name when we come in and are genuinely glad to see us, greeting us as friends since we know all of them. Many are transplants from the old Camino Real which was bought by AM Resorts several years ago and now operates as Dreams (an all-inclusive). We especially enjoy the whole huachanengo (Red Snapper) which can be prepared in several styles. The Sopa de Tortilla is excellent. If you are visiting Puerto Vallarta, you MUST visit this gem.

“Great Breakfasts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

We didn't have the opportunity to have lunch or dinner at El Andariego, but we did have breakfast here twice. Each time the food was delicious, the coffee and juices were great, and the service was excellent. The items we have had are the beef machacas, eggs motulenos, scrambled egg and green sauce chilaquiles, and the monteray omelette.

I'd even say that if you like breakfast at Fredy's Tucan, you will like breakfast here...many of the same items prepared the same way. Excellent.
