Just consistently good ole' food. Love the breakfasts. For lunch, their Sopa - crema de aguacate con queso blanco - is to die for. So rich and creamy. Their dinner menu is great, too. Wonderful location and great staff!

“Great New Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Used to be on the Malecon Downtown now in the Marina. Great Tortilla Soup also Avocado Soup. The Chile Rellenos picadillo are out of this world. For lunch, try the various Tacos, especially the Poblano Pepper Strips and Chicken Tinga. Great addition to the Marina. And we love having the Wulff family back.

“Great spot on the malecon if you want authentic.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

Las Palomas has been around forever. It's always a solid choice. Not fancy by any means. I think it's the most authentic out there besides La Chata.

“Gone- a great friendly landmark”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

Looked along the Malecon our last trip in late October. Las Palomas, one of our favorites was gone. Demolished. They were already building something else.We hope all the staff landed on their feet okay.

“A Surprise on the Malecon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

The Malecon in Puerto Vallarta is the last place I'd ever expect to find a place with such an unforced atmosphere and sense of genuine Mexican cuisine. Surrounded by every awful tourist trap you can possibly imagine here, Las Palomas lets you know it's different as soon as you enter: most of the clientele are either locals or visiting Mexicans, not obnoxious tourists looking for cheap beer and nachos. I went for brunch with two friends and we ate modestly but well. One had seafood tostadas, Acapulco style, that I with I'd ordered - two crisp tortillas piled high with luscious fish and olives and sauced just right: cost - $4.25. My other friend ordered a large cobb salad and had to take half of it home. Not a Mexican choice, but still an abundant meal filled with blue cheese, avocado, hard boiled egg, bacon, lettuce and a mild dressing: cost - $11.00. I had a breakfast item, a tortilla with refried beans (not a sope) and piled high with shredded beef and queso fresco all surrounded by a deep, rich but mild chile sauce: cost - $5.50. We each had cups of cafe de olla, the wonderful Mexican coffee with cinnamon. I would recommend this place and go back myself.
