“One of the Best!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

The Inn has maintained their very high standards over the years, and it is still a great place to stay. The staff is super, the grounds are kept immaculate, and the restaurant is first rate. Unlike many resorts, they continue to invest in the maintenance of the rooms. While some of the rooms are showing wear and tear, they continue to update and maintain them at a reasonable pace.

Many of the clients have stayed at the Inn for years, including us, and the crowd is not what you would call "spring break" material. It is a pretty quiet relaxed atmosphere, which is our preference anyway. The hotel is very centrally located with many good restaurants close by. The buses stop right in front of the hotel, so El Centro or points north are easily reached.

Room Tip: The Azteca Tower rooms are the newest, but they require a trip through the lobby and an elevator rid...

Everyone is like family here and the drinks made by anyone at the Papa Gallo bar are ones to be remembered and looked forward to the following year. The food and the service are to commended as well. The spa/massage here are wonderful. The upkeep of the grounds are great as are the friends (vendors) that hang out by the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable due to the fantastic housekeeping staff. We have been staying here for several years now and will continue to do so for the for see able future. It is comforting to be warmly greeted by name upon arrival and throughout the stay.

Room Tip: Sixth floor and above in the Tower.

We've just returned from a magical week in Mazatlan. We purchased a time share at the Inn at Mazatlan in 1985 and have gone back so often it feels like a second home. The staff remembers us and welcomes us back warmly each time, even when a few years have gone by since our last visit - as was the case this time. We had not been to Mazatlan since 2008 prior to this visit for a variety of reasons. In the past few years we've heard about the cruise ships eliminating their stops in Mazatlan and general rumors (mostly unsubstantiated) about increased crime there. From the moment of our arrival to our departure, we never experienced one moment of fear or worry about our safety. We talked with many of the shop clerks and wait staff and they all confirmed that the worries about safety there are unfounded. The Mazatlan tourism industry and its workers are really suffering from the major drop in tourism, and it makes us sad, knowing what a marvelous travel destination Mazatlan is and how much we love the Inn at Mazatlan. Our days were largely spent either walking the beach or lounging and reading under a palapa at the Inn's sea wall, attended to all day by the friendliest and most accommodating staff we've ever experienced. There is a new chef at the Inn's restaurant, and he has entirely redone the menu with a nice variety of truly gourmet dinners. There are many other great restaurants within walking distance of the Inn. Our favorite is Pancho's, an open air restaurant right on the beach. We also love La Casa Country and the newest restaurant right on the beach about a minute's walk from the Inn, Al Agua. If you want a magical, relaxing week at the ocean with great service, great food and drinks at really affordable prices, book your trip now!

The Inn at Mazatlán offers a variety of good quality rooms with a marvelous ocean view. The location is perfect in terms of comodities. It is not a hotel to stay in all day, but it is an ideal spot to lay your head while you explore the magical city od Mazatlán.

The Inn at Mazatlan was a wonderful place to stay for a super vacation. The room was comfortable and our view was terrific! We saw the ocean and beautiful grounds from our balcony and upon leaving the room, Mazatlan and distant mountains were spread out before us. I think the grounds are the most beautiful of all the hotels on the beach. The entire staff at the hotel and the Papagayo restaurant were very friendly and kind. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. With their help we had a great sightseeing guide and transportation for numerous trips into Old Town. Though a little concerned at first, we quickly lost all worries about our safety in Mazatlan. The city of Maz was great to walk around. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a vacation in Mexico. It's a very good value for the dollar and we will definitely be back.

The Inn at Mazatlan has wonderful views of the ocean. The pool and pool area is kept clean. The room was good, no complaints. The restaurant on the property, The Papagayo, is wonderful. Great seafood. Overall a wonderful stay, a perfect vacation.

We stayed at the Inn over the 4th of July. The food and drinks are great. Happy Hour was our favorite time of the day. The pool area is very fun with plenty of shade. The service was outstanding. We are already planning our vacation again next year.

Room Tip: The tower has the best rooms.
