After enjoying such a great bed and breakfast with my daughters at Casa de Leyendas last year, I couldn’t wait to return with my husband. And it was even better than I had built it up in my mind.

Sharon, Glenn and their staff have made this an oasis for vacationers. They are in the best location as far as we are concerned - in the heart of beautiful historic Mazatlan, within a short walking distance from Plaza Machado and excellent restaurants and music, the central market and local art and jewelry stores, the spa, the Panama bakery, and only around 10 blocks or so to catch a small local boat to go to Stone Island. Casa de Leyendas is not in the main resort area, “The Gold Zone”, but it is only a 10 minute pulmonia ride away.

Sharon and Glenn have done a wonderful job of restoring this Home of Legends - Casa de Leyendas to a beautiful Mexican bed and breakfast. The bedrooms each have a unique theme and no matter which room you have, you are convinced it is the best! The modern washrooms have spacious showers. The beds are extremely comfortable. There are safes in each room. There are lots of common areas to sit and relax. There is a computer and a phone to use for contacting friends or relatives to make them jealous.

One of the highlights was the new friendships we made with other guests – and with Glenn, Sharon, Mike, Mary, and other staff. Following the always changing, delicious breakfasts we often sat visiting until noon over second cups of coffee. And again in the evening, we laughed, visited, and recounted our day’s experiences over a glass of wine or tequila!

Glenn and Sharon were excellent hosts. They helped us find the best places for margueritas, banana cream pie, silver, taco stands, etc. They booked our tours, our taxis. They went out of their way to make our vacation a special experience.

We are planning a “reunion” with the same guests for next year!!

Wonderful: hosts, beds, decor/design, food... this place is unique (and the best Rx, ever, for recovering from too much of Michigan's winter). Art Museum across the street, gorgeous "old Mazatlan" all around, the beach just steps away, what more could you ask? We visited fine restaurants, and walked for miles along the beach. I am so glad we stayed here instead of out in the Golden Zone. Sharon and Glen have the perfect set-up, and are dedicated to their guests. The house has so many terraces and patio's and such, that you can always find a quiet spot to read or write (or nap in the sun). Everything's clean, pristine and of high quality. One of the best B & B experiences we've had.

Having spent over 28 years as owners and operators of Bed and Breakfast Inns on Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod, we want to share our experience at the Casa de Leyendas Bed and Breakfast. It was our very first trip to Mexico, and after our first week in Puerto Vallarta we headed by car to Mazatlan. We had booked ahead, and to our pleasant surprise, found that their lovely web-site didn't expose the human warmth of our hosts and their caring staff. The food was wonderful, something for every ones taste. A happy hour with wine cheeses and great conversation with the host and all their contented guests .The nights you could relaxed on the patio or enjoyed the comfort of your well appointed room, right down to the pillow topped mattress and fluffy towels. We even had access to free calls to home. They also provided a basic Spanish language guide to make our stay easier in Mazatlan. They thought of everything!
From the very moment you step inside the door you become a part of this B&B family. There was something magical about our stay! We could go on and on with praise right down to their well behaved dogs, but the only thing we want to add is Sharon and Glenn have the gift!

Ok, we were at this terrible hotel in historic downtown Mazatlan and we set out by foot to find another. And right down the street, around the corner--there it was--a B&B. We walked in, went on a tour, I touched the bed to see if it was soft, and said, "We'll take it."
This was our first trip to Mexico, arrived on Friday, had no money, only traveler's checks, bank was closed until Tues (a holiday, they said). Sharon cashed a traveler's check for us, told us where to eat so we wouldn't get sick, told us how to wipe off the beer bottle top with a napkin, that the water/ice cubes were safe here, helped arrange where to go and what to see.
We walked and walked and walked. It was blizzarding in St. Paul, Minnesota and 85 degrees in Mazatlan. Oh, what a wonderful trip! So nice, the beds were the best, the food great, and the people so pleasant. With snow up to our knees now, I can only say, "Wish I Were There!" Sharon and Glenn, thanks for your kindness and a great B&B experience. Oh, and the breakfasts were delicious and generous and the courtyard wonderful to sit in.

Casa De Leyendas was recomended to us by friends that had stayed there, and they couldn't say enough. Our experience was excellent as well, due to the owners, the great breakfasts, the location, and the beauty of the house. Above all, the warmth and hospitality provided by Sharon and Glenn was inviting, and helpful in our exploration of Mazatlan. The experience was one I would recommend to anyone, and ended up being one of the best getaways we have had among many, many traveling experiences!
