Casa De Leyendas was recomended to us by friends that had stayed there, and they couldn't say enough. Our experience was excellent as well, due to the owners, the great breakfasts, the location, and the beauty of the house. Above all, the warmth and hospitality provided by Sharon and Glenn was inviting, and helpful in our exploration of Mazatlan. The experience was one I would recommend to anyone, and ended up being one of the best getaways we have had among many, many traveling experiences!

“Loved this B&B, one of the best”

We stayed here in Feb for two nights and loved everything about the B&B, our only complaint was our visit being too short. Sharon and Glenn are wonderful hosts and went beyond our expectations to take care of us. It started with our arrival at 1130 from the airport which was well before check in time, not only did they welcome us early but they shared drinks and a light snack with us. The B&B is one half block off the ocean .(a beautiful beach that is quiet and NO VENDORS!!!) They provided us with beach towels and beach chairs daily. They shared with us great tips for eating out at local authentic mexican restaraunts. They made it very clear that they were there to make sure we had the best vacation. They went above and beyond what we have experienced from most hosts at B&B's. We stayed in the King ocean view room and loved it, it is a large room with lots of space, easy access to the balcony and to the roof top patio, which was great for early mornings with coffee. Breakfast was wonderful with choices from hot full breakfast foods to good and healthy oatmeal and fruits , to not so healthy but wonderful mexican pastries and all the extras. We have no complaints, they warned us of noise from the bar on the same block, but it did not bother us. Cannot wait to go back. Sharon and Glenn are amazing hosts! Kim & Pat C

We have stayed at several B&Bs in Mexico, and this was the best yet. They are in a beautiful house, across the street from the ocean in Mazatlan Centro, an easy walk to the Plaza Machado, restaurants, and the central market.
The hosts, Glenn and Sharon, were amazingly helpful and accommodating, helping us arrange tours and activities. When we left for a very early flight to Mexico City, they got up at 4:30 am to make us breakfast! We will definitely return.

“Best place to stay in Mazatlan”

Casa De Leyendas

You know the saying "Mi casa es su casa?" ("My house is your house?") That is the open-door and open-arms feeling you get at Casa de Leyendas. From the moment I walked into this beautifully restored house I knew that I had made the best decision as to where I wanted to stay. I loved my room. One wall was painted in a wonderful deep shade of blue and the others were yellow. I wanted to smuggle the Mexican bedspread out in my luggage, but I left it there for the next occupant to enjoy. The Casa serves up a great breakfast and it is so enjoyable to dine in the outside courtyard. I knew I didn't want to stay in the bigger hotels in Mazatlan, but other than that I wasn't familar with the area. I was traveling alone and wanted a place where I would be safe and comfortable and have a good location for walking around and seeing the sites of old Mazatlan. I cannot believe my good fortune at having selected Casa de Leyendas. The owners are friendly and helpful and the kind of people that you just hope you see again.

With our seventh anniversary approaching, my husband and I wanted to go to a beautiful place to enjoy a relaxing extended weekend. At first we thought about staying in a hotel, but after my husband learned about Casa de Leyendas through tripadvisor, we were hoping to stay there. Given the lateness of our booking the trip, there were no rooms available at the Casa. But once in Mazatlán, with a blow of good luck from fate, we ended up staying right were we wanted and we were very happy about it. Glenn and Sharon welcomed us very warmly making us feel at home right away. The bedroom was attractively decorated keeping the Mexican style. The house is gorgeous and you can tell a lot of care and time were invested in making it look as beautiful as it is. Mary and the cook (sorry, I don't remember her name) took care of keeping the house spotless and cozy besides preparing a breakfast to make anybody happy and satisfied. There couldn't have been any better way of unwinding from our everyday life than this stay at the Casa. Plaza Machado, the heart of the historic center, is within walking distance. In the evening you can listen to live music and if you lucky, there are going to be local musicians playing the beautiful traditional Mexican music. The Plaza also has many restaurants. La Tramoya had wonderful food. The shrimp was delicious and the Crepe with cajeta (goat milk caramel) for dessert was absolutely a must. Across the street from Teatro Angela Peralta is a dessert store that also serves sandwiches. A suggestion is their grilled salmon on ciabatta. If you go to Casa Loma, in the Zona Dorada (Gold Zone), try Fish Veracruz from the selection of typical Mexican dishes. It was my best meal in Mazatlán. We heard about Aroma Spa and had our hour massage there for $ 20. Divine! It was hard to keep awake after such good treatment. And don't miss visiting Casa Etnika, within a few minutes of walking distance from La Casa. They will treat you very kindly telling you stories about the different objects that they sell and the tradition or cultural trait that they represent. Time spent there was a precious experience grasping a litte bit of the Mexican soul.
If you are up to have a really relaxing day, go to Isla de las Piedras (Stone Island) on a day other than Sunday, when we heard it's more crowded.
I strongly recommend Casa de Leyendas. Glenn and Sharon certainly made a difference. They know how to be the perfect hosts! It was a very short stay for us, but it was a very special one.
