“13 miles to walk or ride bike along the beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Wow, so open and pretty. People are getting their exercise here. There are restaurants on the ocean you can visit. Always very cold beer. Only problem is people don't clean up after their dogs. There are these huge statures of people along the way. Good place for pics.

“Miles of sunny beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

The Malecon extends from old Mazatlan to Valentinos. A new concrete walkway has lots of room for pedestrians, bikes, and even roller blades. A great walk dotted with attractions, and great views.

“Clean but boring”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

The malecon is nicely paved and has some statues along it. However, it is a long way from the shopping district or anything else. So, if you just want to walk along a paved path it is great but there really is not much else and it is a cab ride from the Hotel Zone.

You can never get enough of this incredible site! The waves, oyster divers, pelicans, fishing jumping, people watching and more!

“Malecon was booooring”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

Maybe it was just the week we visited (3rd week of February) but the Malecon had literally nothing on it. Nothing. Seriously.
