This great restaurant has been open for seven years and we have been coming to Mazatlan for eleven years, but somehow we never new about El Aljibe. This is a very unique dining experience that you do not want to miss. The restaurant is located in Mazatlan's oldest cistern. It dates back to when Mazatlan was a small fishing village of only 5000 people. Atmosphere is really cool and the food is plentiful and very tasty. Prices are great and the two waiters are very friendly. Just ask and they will tell you all about the cistern and of course the items on the menu. We will certainly be back next year.
