“Good location, not a good rest.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012 via mobile

PROS:
-Location
-Decent price
-Powerful air conditioning
-Free parking (even if unsupervised)

CONS:
-Limited staff
-Extra for a window
-WiFi doesn't work in the room
-The worst pillows I have ever seen!
-Rocket-surgery to get the shower going
-Paper-thin walls, you can hear EVERY noise in the hotel

Overall I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a place to rest.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012

my husband and i have stayed here three times, each one different. the first time on january fisrt of this year, we were there for a night with three other couples. the rooms are all marble: floors, headboards, bathroom walls and sinks, showers, etc. very clean. not too many television channels, but enough for an evening. the breakfast is included, but depending on the day of the week, or time of year, the breakfast area can be overcrowded, and the food goes fast. that happened on our first stay, not on our second (the middle of january), and again during this past carnival weekend. but the buffet across the street at hotel playa mazatlan is worth walking to, or also Panama restaurant down the street is fantastic. for a a great gringo meal (a hamburger to die for) go to Yoopers Bar, also down the street. we reserved ahead for our saturday night carnival stay, got to the hotel at 5 p.m. and our room was not ready! that we did not appreciate. other than that, i would reccomend the hotel. it also has it's own parking lot with a guard, so our car is always safe there. and it is right in the golden zone, you can walk everywhere, even to the malecon. and you are away from the noise.

We spent our holidays in Mazatlan and stayed at this Quality Inn. Everything was super, except beds in Mexico are harder than we are used to but this being our second trip to Mazatlan, we were prepared for the hard beds. I must say thought, the Quality beds are not as hard as others. Our stay included breakfast, which was very good. And this location is one block from the beach, close to the El Cid resorts area, near many restaurants and shopping. We highly recommend this hotel.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011

I've stayed in Mazatlán several times over the last 7 or 8 years and just found this hotel on the chain's website. When I checked in I found out why. This hotel was recently remodeled and re-opened in June 2011 as Quality Inn. Not sure what it was before.

I decided to give this one a try for a couple of reasons: First, the price was right, and second, I am enrolled in the loyalty program for this chain.

I found the hotel to be clean, comfortable, and everything I expected it to be. It's not a 5-star luxury hotel, but then it doesn't command a 5-star price either. With an online discount, I got a room for $745 MXN (or about $56 USD at today's exchange rate). The property is conveniently located in the Golden Zone, within walking distance of several restaurants. It's across the street from the beach, however, and not beach-front.

The hotel has a nice pool and courtyard, free wifi, and the room includes breakfast. It is a "Mexican" hotel and the beds are a bit firm for my taste. Otherwise I have no complaints.

Give this one a try.
