“A lovely hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

My husband and I stayed here while he was in Mazatlan on business. The resort is simply beautiful with lovely walking paths, waterfalls, beautiful statues and tropical birds at every turn. Great swimming pools, and an amazing beach. The rooms are very large, and the cleaning and room service staff did a wonderful job. It was super quiet, with almost no people around, (some days I was the only person on the beach!) which was perfect for me. All I did was relax and read my books. Always lots of chairs to choose from, and a wonderful staff to assist with anything that you might need. Certainly NOT a party hotel, but if you want a quiet peaceful vacation in beautiful surroundings, this is the place to be!

I stayed here for one week in April and had a fabulous time! The room was very clean and the view was amazing. While a waterfront room is nice I wouldn't say it's as must. I didn't spend much time at all in the room. The pool is awesome and the wait staff was perfect. My only complaint would be that The Bistro had a really long wait time for food. We were so tired once our food arrived we really just wanted to go. On the other hand we ate breakfast there one morning and the food was to die for. Best breakfast burrito I've ever had! If you head into town you must try Panchos. Get the 6pc shrimp plate. You won't regret it! If I ever go back to Mazatlan I'd definitely stay here again.

We were in pueblo bonito for a week and it was one of d best relaxing vacations we had ever had. The resort is like paradise and the service is outstanding.

Only thing that I would improve is to have top shelf liquor included on the all exclusive package or even charge extra for it.

If Rafael is playing make sure you go and see him.

Well we just got back from our annual april vacation. PB continues to cut back. Its not clear why, it may be that the owners want to save cash for their new work in Los Cabos. The all inclusive has gone up in price, and it may get to a point where its cheaper to pay and eat in town. New restaurants in town one which has managed to draw Carlos a long time iconic waiter at PB EB away. Was it the all inclusive and lack of tips for the top performers? The hotel is still in great shape and the food is very good. Service is very good, but its clear that some of the staff are not happy with the all inclusive. Finished some great ceramic projects with Augustine and the bar tending class with Caesar and Fernando (bartender) was great.

New scheme in selling more time share weeks at PB; Mr. Coppel obviously needs the cash, because just converting to new point system costs $5,000 so why do it? And forget the new golf course. The sales staff claims that Jack Nicklaus is designing, but in fact he is designing two more in Baja, not Mazatlan; check his web site!!! And if you take an hour of your sun time to talk with them and don't buy, you would think they could at least thank you for your time? And this was an American making the pitch. They offered us 15% to listen but not worth it since we were on all inclusive. The spa costs are as high as costs in the U.S. and you know the people are not earning U.S. wages. So we never use the Spa.

Overall a great week.

Room Tip: Stay on second floor of the two story units next to the Bistro; 2127 is a great suit on the second f...

I had dinner at the Bistro restaurant in mid-April 2013 choosing to sit pool-side rather than indoors to enjoy another spectacular sunset over the beaches of Mazatlan. I was not disappointed as the combination of the live music by Rafael Rodriguez and the natural beauty that is Mazatlan was spectacular.

Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay it's a great hotel far from the Mazatlan that we all know. It's great to have a resort with this quality and features in a city like Mazatlan, that most of the hotels are more than 20 year old. Emerald Bay is located at the north area of Mazatlan, and its far from the crowd, so you can have a feeling of an hotel boutique with the comfort of a 5 star resort.

The hotel has 3 pools, enough to be relaxed without all the kids jumping right beside you.

It seems that all the rooms have ocean view, that's cool.

My room was a suite, actually was very big.. it has the bedroom, two full bathrooms (one with a tub) and one big living and dinner room, with kitchen, full fridge, and all the kitchen tools you need to cook inside your room.

I wasn't been in Mazatlan since 5 year ago, and it seems that is improving a lot, with these resort you should consider this city as a good beach destination, Mazatlan has plenty of restaurants and night clubs and bar. The weather is amazing for a beach destination and is not expensive as Cabo or Cancun.

A+++ for Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay and the new Mazatlan.

Room Tip: Ask for the suite that has a big living room, I paid the same as my brother and I got a bigger room.

I have been going to this resort for several years and never cease to enjoy it. True, the economy has caused some staffing changes, but having just returned, I found the staff to be adequate, friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a fast-paced, American resort, don't go. The life is relaxing and slow and definitely on Mexican time. The food is delicious and can be more expensive then independent restaurants, but always a treat. The grounds are beautiful and lush. Walking the beach daily restores the soul and allows for treasure hunting. You can swim in one of three pools or the ocean. 2 for 1 drinks during happy hour lessens your need for fast service. Go with a loved one or the family. There's something for everyone, including daily activities provided on-sight. There's also free shuttle service to downtown throughout the day and evening. Did I mention the spa? Take away life's stress and truly relax.

Room Tip: Corner suites on the second floor and higher allow for cross ventilation and no necessity to lock up...
