“Mazatlan Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2012

If you want a totally relaxing and safe vacation in Mexico, we totally recommend El Sol La Vida in north Mazatlan. Our lare, upscale room, decorated using lots of tile, wood, and leather, had a great view from its large balcony where we never tired of watching those amazing Mexican sunrises and sunsets. The pool in the courtyard overlooks the sandy beach just a few steps away, where we walked forever in either direction; collecting shells was a favourite pastime! The hosts, Ray and Linda, were very helpful in organizing activities and transportation for us. Leanne, the head chef at the attached Surf’s Up Café, created awesome coffees, drinks, and meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We spent 11 wonderful days there and I can’t wait to go back.

Room Tip: Each room is unique and lovely.

We did not stay at the hotel because we own property elsewhere in Mazatlan. However, we took a tour and it is delightful. It is a wonderful hotel for a romantic getaway. The rooms are beatuifully decorated and the amenities are great. A couple of the rooms have a great views. The restaurant has a great menu with fresh ingredients. We loved our meal.

Thought we would give this Boutique Hotel a try. Well we were very impressed. Highly recommend it.
The rooms are wonderful. Step out of the pool onto the beach.
We will be going back again and stay for a few days in February for sure

Room Tip: I think there are only 4 or 6 rooms at this property. They are all brand new.

The rooms were spacious, have a beautiful decor, comfortable beds and a great air flow to keep you cool. (air conditioning is available but not needed) Waking up to the sound of the waves and the smell of the lime trees in front of our balcony was amazing to experience. Starting off with a morning swim in the beautiful blue tiled pool and a walk on the beach followed by the yummiest breakfast at the Surfs Up cafe was just a typical day at El Sol La Vida. There are comfy chairs to lounge on and sun tan while you lay in front of the pool with an Ocean view and a cool ocean breeze. You can have a drink at the shaded bar as well as poolside under a big shady umbrella playing a game of cards.

El Sol La Vida is located 5 minutes away from shops/surfing/tourist attractions. Leanne Wright the owner of the Surfs Up Cafe is very helpful with information of local fair not to mentioned make you the best french toast and most delicious coffee you have ever had. After a day of touring the city you can have front row seats to a world class sunset every night.

We will continuously rave about how our experience here was amazing and tell everyone looking to vacation and unwind in a tranquil and beautiful environment that El Sol La Vida is the place to be and always will be our first choice!!

Room Tip: Both upstairs rooms have private balconys with amazing views. The bottom room is a bit more private...
