“Thank you!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

My husband, two kids (age 6 and 2), and I just returned from a week at El Cid El Moro. We were there last year in January as well. Thank you to all of the amazingly helpful and friendly servers at the buffet restaurants. An special thank you goes to Guillermo for making sure I didn't eat anything with nuts and for bringing us the most delicious guacamole!

Suggestions: 1. have mexican food options every night at the dinner buffet
2. change the Mexican Fiesta night back to being included in the All Inclusive. It was very disappointing to be asked to pay for something that we all loved last year and was included.
3. Don't charge for wifi please.

Very clean, beautiful, fun place to take the kids!

Room Tip: The corner rooms in the El Moro (any floor room number ending in 23 or 24) Ex. 2023/24 would be the...

Dear: Lady

Thank you for your comment with reference your stay at El Cid Moro Beach Hotel. Thank you also for your recommendations about our hotel.

We are proud to Guillermo is an excellent worked he have been working here for many years and they keep guests like you coming back again and again…hearing comments like yours about our staff in different areas makes us even prouder.

We deeply regret that we were unable to meet your expectations, and we would like to assure you that we are currently working on rectifying the challenges. I want to inform you that we have a Mexican restaurant every night and have the buffet nights for more options to our customers, any way I will try to add a dishes Mexican in a buffet. Regarding to the Mexican party, we are renovating to present this show again in the not too distant future, not take away from our theme nights, we are just taking a time to renew and come with more force. On to the comment about the internet services the Wi-Fi has a charge because we have an external company who works with us to provide a service, which are also around the areas checking to make sure everything is up and running well. We are grateful to you for bringing your concerns to our attention.

Please let me know personally when you are next intending to return to Mazatlan as I would love the opportunity to welcome you to the hotel and do not hesitate to contact me or any of the team members if we can be of any assistance.

Best regards,

Salvatore Sanchez

“Bad experience turned great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

we have the option to stay at El Moro with our TimeShare and purchase the all-inclusive option upon check-in. we had booked a 2 bedroom 2 bath in the oldest complex, but after some minor incidents that were unable to be resolved quickly, Customer service put us in one of the PentHouse suites in the "slightly newer" complex. The upgrade was awesome. a huge condo on the top floor with great views.
The service was awesome. Pool-side is the way to go, we did eat in the erstaurants while we were there, but we didn't go there to eat out. We tipped graciously at the beginning of the week, and each morning. This is how you get great service in all-inclusive resorts. When I say graciously, i mean we would give them 20 bucks to start the day, and then maybe $1-2 per round of drinks or food delivery, because we would always keep the same server. Once they establish that relationship, they will take great care of you! We couldn't have been happier with our trip and stay at El Cid El moro Beach. (our trip was actually before Feb 2012, but that's the latest I could select)

Room Tip: If you have problems with your rooms, just politely mention at the front desk and they will take gre...

“Very friendly staff!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

My girlfriend and I stayed at this property in late November and we had such a great time. The staff was very friendly especially the waiters down at the beach (Renteria & Thomas). The staff made our experience very special and we will definitely come back for another vacation. The property had fun activities like Bingo by the pool and entertainment shows also. Enrike did a great job overseeing the social acitvities and he was such a great guy to be around. The food was also delicious! We were very satisfied with our stay at El Cid El Moro Beach and can't wait to go back.

“Danger”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

I generally agree with most of the views. We traded to this resort from our timeshare in Cancun. We loved Mazatlan but had some general concerns about El Cid overall. The balconies are very dangerous and not child-safe. I would not let my kids out on the balconies which is disappointing because the view is beautiful. The windows just open with NO screens so beware. The rooms need updating, for sure, but the maid service is wonderful and the staff is kind.
The pools are warm and fun for the kiddos, lots of fun activities, shopping, food, and the beach is flat/warm and amazing. We swam and never saw sting rays or any other sea creatures...

“Nice Hotel, Sting Rays in the Ocean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

We were pleased with our room as it was on the 27th floor and had spectacular city and ocean views. I wish I had seen the sting rays from above (as another reviewer mentioned) as my 16 year old son was stung. It was a VERY painful and scary experience. El Cid should post warning signs because if we had known we would not have gone into the water.
