we went to one of the restaurant at the plaza, price was not bad. at the corner of the plaza is a art school. right at the corner. is a class room for music. the school intentionally to have a class to play music which was GOOD. we spend about 20 min. just standing there and listen.

This must have been one of my favorite attractions in Mazatlan. We visited Plaza Machado during the day time as part of a city tour. The tour guide told us that at night they close the streets and have music, dancing and street vendors. We decided to return and night and we loved it. The atmosphere was perfect with live music and people dancing in the street. I wanted to eat at Pedro and Lola but my group decided to eat at Beach Burger. This was the only bad thing. The food was terrible. The shrimp tasted like it must have been dipped in ketchup. Other than that I loved Plaza Machado.

the plaza takes you back in time, and is excellent to visit, Easy to get to, and there are no timeshare sales there, They have some guides there to help you get the most out of it(no cost)

The wonderful restaurants lining the Plaza with friendly waiters beckoning.....the vendors and the music during Carnaval...the electric feeling walking among the crowd...
