We ate twice at Vivaldi on the corner. Other times just sat on the park bench and watched the people (and dogs) go by. Felt very European.
Get on Sabado Centro bus cost is 10 pesos less than a dollar to get to the Plaza Machado. You name it this place has it from food, clothes, handmade items, etc. When you go to Mazatlan you have to go here to say you were here. The bus will say Machado so you know you are there or just tell bus driver when you get on you want to know when you arrive to this place. Additionally, when you get ready to go back to your hotel or resort you go straight through the Machado from where the bus let you off and on the otherside of the Machado you come out on another street where you catch the Sabado Centro back to your place. Enjoy as a lot to see around this place.
Quiet plaza is relaxed and safe, with alot of excellent resturatnts. Carnival Plaza is EXTREMELY busy and crowded-fun if you like two or three bands playing and people having fun--this even felt safe, a little claustriphobia but family oriented and all part of the |Carnival experience.
This area is really clean and there are a ton of restaurants down in this area. On Saturday nights, the square is closed off, and all of the restaurants have outdoor dining. It's really very nice.
Really enjoyed how they have fixed up the Plaza area and the people are so warm and kind. Lot's of things to shop for and also very clean.
