“A must on your trip to Mazatlan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

A great place to watch the weekend entertainment and People watch. Lots of vendors and shopping on the weekends. Take a cab - Parking is very limited.

Great restaurants on the Plaza:

- Il Mosta - Try the Black Burro, it's one of the best and biggest filets in Mazatlan.
- Bohemia - Best Ribeye in Mazatlan - A little pricey but worth it.
- Pedro & Lola - Great entertainment on the weekends and the food is "OK".
- Argentina Beef - Very good steaks - Check with the waiter.
- Topolo's is one block to the east - Best restaurant in Mazatlan - Try the pork shank.
- Italian Restaurant on the west side of the plaza - Sorry, I forgot the name but there are always a lot of people there.

There are other restaurants on the Plaza but I'm saving them for my next trip

“Most scenic place in Mazatlan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

This is the most charming place in Old Mazatlan - right where the Angela Peralta Theater is. It is charming when empty (e.g. for breakfast), and when packed with locals and tourist alike at night time (I was there both Friday and Saturday nights and there were bands in the Kiosk, crafts, lots of restaurants and alive with people).

“A good night out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

A great place to eat and relax at night. Recommed a weekend night as they have local artists selling jewlery and other items at very reasonable prices.

“A must see when in Mazatlan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

The Plaza Machado is one of the most scenic areas of the city. No visit to this lovely city would be complete without strolling around the Plaza. On weekend nights there is even live music and people dancing in the street. The restaurants around the Plaza all serve delicious meals. Don't forget to stop here for a fun, relaxing time.
