“Small enclosures, variety of species”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

The kids thought this aquarium was okay. I liked seeing the different types of fish, and we attended the seal show, which was typical for an aquarium. There was one pen with two raccoons which I thought was odd, and the raccoon was pacing back and forth - sad. The enclosures were quite small, but note that I'm not a fan of zoos in general.

“Good for the kids”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Nice way to get close to the animals. It was not a full day, but a good way to spend a couple of hours. The shows were good, but all in Spanish. To bad the time share people were all over the place! We worth the price of admission, and don't miss the seal show!

“All in all, a disappointment.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

While visiting Mazatlan we went to this attraction, but were quite disappointed. They are eager enough to have visitors from the US and have a ticket-window person who can speak English, but once inside, no translations were provided. That means all the shows were narrated in Spanish only so the best we could do was just watch. I just wish they would have told us that; Mazatlan has many tourists and lots of other place provide a translation. The bird show was cute but the seal show only included one seal and lasted maybe 12-15 minutes. Many of the fish and reptile tank were somewhat cloudy so the fish inside were difficult to find. All in all quite a disappointment.

“Better Then Expected”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

The Aquarium is worth the 90 peso per person (7.50 usd), all the shows were sequenced giving you 10 minutes to move to the next venue. It starts off with a diver going into the tank with the nurse sharks and waking them up to display to the crowd. The seal show was entertaining, do not seat directly opposite the stage upon entrance (wet), the parrot show was the best of the lot, we didn’t stay for the bird of prey show though. The display tanks were interesting seeing fish of many varieties, the static displays were also interesting especially the whale skeleton.

“Fun Times”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

It's a small aquarium/zoo, but they have a great setup. There are cages full of birds that you can walk through and take pictures of the birds. They also put on a bird show that was cute. I missed the seal show, but I heard it's really good.
