“A place to go and feel special”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013 via mobile

The atmosphere is beautiful, their was live music, a young man sang he was great, the service was great , 3of us had seafood and were very happy one had spegittie and said it was good but salty, a little pricie. We would go back, and if you want to dress up this is the place to go, but they don't make you feel uncomfortable if you're wearing shorts.

“Don't Bother !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

Angelo's is a study of a restaurant in slow decline.

My wife and I dined at Angelos for Thanksgiving dinner. Overall this restaurant just could not deliver at any level.

Our soup was served just barely warm, the "stuffing" served with out turkey looked like it was a stale brownie and had no taste at all and joined a sorry slice of canned jellid cranberry sauce on our plates.

I'm not sure what the. Restaurant had in mind with our desert, but the "pumpkin pie" was more of a small tasteless tart with a dry crust...if this was made on the premises I'd be shocked...frozen was more likely.

Angelo's trys to position itself as one of Mazatlan's premier restaurants...and 15 years ago this was true. Today Angelo's is a just another restaurant that can't get it right on a consistent basis.

Add to this the fact that beer and drinks are nearly twice the coat of any other restaurant in town (45 Peso Pacificos and 95 Peso Casadores) and you're much better off just taking a pass on Angelos.

“The closest to a five star restaurant in Mazatlan”

Food is excellent Italian style with a complete range of appetizers, salads, pastas and main courses. Desserts were tasty. All of the dishes were beautifully presented.

“Let Down”

Pasta was way undercooked, far from al dente. Service was barely there, ambience was non existant. Super over priced for value.

“Italian in Mazatlan ?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

Don't know what we were thinking, didn't need to make this visit .. very attentive wait staff , but food was just OK, didn't need to waste a night's choice of fare here, especially since we were not staying at the attached hotel that included this in their all inclusive package. Salmon dish was OK, but the pasta w/ chicken was over salted.
