Had an incredibly wonderful two weeks of great service and good food. The beach and the pool was great. Will definitely return next year.
We have been to Mazatlan over a dozen times in the past and stayed at some pretty high priced hotels and some econo minded places as well. None compared to the Royal Villa on any level whatsoever.

The food was fresh and the presentation most impressive, whether from the poolside snack bar or the dining room. Only complaint would be too much but the healthy aspect meant my jeans fit just fine after the two weeks of enjoying so many unique dishes. Their fish dishes were most delicious.
The service providers were all most courteous and attentive, even when they were running full out because of the number of patrons. Artero was sweet and willing to help us understand so much about the culture, while Raphael was always available. The upper management were on top of their job in accommodating personal requests and any concerns.
This was Mexico....the warmth of the people far exceeds the warmth of the sun.

This is a fine hotel at a fine price with a nice beach and good location,

But if it's an all inclusive your looking for then move along.

It truly felt like ordering a drink was an inconvience to them and if you would like lunch then you had better speak fluent Spanish and ask the cook directly cause the waiter would take forever and then usually give your food to the wrong person.

It would be impossible to get drunk at this hotel because the service is so few and far between and if you tried ordering faster they just cut back on the booze per drink it would seem.

A honest assessment of ordering food would be to order... Walk to the convince store grab a bag of chips to hold you over then come back to wait for your meal.

Worst part by far tho was that every drink even a water, or buffet breakfast you had to give them your room number and sign for it. Every drink every meal every time. Don't even know the point of wearing the bracelet all week.

But on a plus great beds and a nice beach. Just don't bother forking up the extra for all inclusive in this dead city called mazatlan.

A lot going on at this hotel especially on the beach for activities. If you are looking to go parasailing, scuba diving, visit deer Island this is the place for you! If you are looking for relaxation and quiet this may not be the place for you!
Nice pool and location. Drinks are expensive at the pool and service is fair. I had to go to the bar to order a drink.

Outstanding resort hotel in the Gold Zone of Mazatlan, close to restaurants, activities and the ocean views are spectacular! The staff is very friendly, and the owners have paid attention to every detail. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
