“Beautiful Mexican Villa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013 for a stay in June 2013

My family and I recently spent a week at CasaTulco in Huatulco. The city’s unpretentious atmosphere suited us perfectly! We spent our days relaxing in the pool, visiting the markets down town, shell hunting, snorkeling, and exploring the nature preserve at Copalita.

From the moment we walked into CasaTulco we were struck by the beauty and comfort of this vibrant Mexican home. We were welcomed by fresh cut tropical flowers from the garden and beautiful artwork and artifacts providing an authentic luxurious Mexican experience.

CasaTulco has all the comforts of home. The house is complete with all modern kitchen appliances, a pressurized water system, BBQ, TV, Wifi, AC in the bedrooms, and a washer and dryer (which was a huge plus with two teenage girls!) The rooms are spacious and immaculate with comfortable beds. The cleaning staff arrives daily to ensure that everything is in order.

The back yard opens to a beautifully landscaped yard set on the jungle hillside. There are many magnificent flowers, fruit trees, and plants that attract a large variety of butterflies and birds. And of course, the hand tiled pool was the favorite hangout for our girls.

The owner of CasaTulco provided us with all the details we needed to enjoy the home. There is a large binder filled with traveling tips, taxi services, places to eat and places to visit. There is also a list of contact information for many activities including offshore fishing, birding tours, popular beaches, etc.

As an American I was a little concerned about the safety of traveling to Mexico. Please let me assure you that I felt safer in Huatulco than I do in the states. The residents in the town are very kind, helpful and friendly to tourists.

Additionally, CasaTulco’s groundskeeper lives in a small apartment on the premises to ensure all of the visitors are safe. My family and I spent many days swimming in the ocean and we felt comfortable leaving our belongings on the beach. As we wandered through town we never felt that we were in danger. The only thing you have to worry about is if you have enough sunscreen and where you’re getting your next taco!

We had a wonderful time in Huatulco and are we are looking forward to going back soon. We would definitely recommend CasaTulco!

Claire, thank you for being our first review. We are off to a good start, and because of how much you and your family enjoyed the Tacos al Pastor in town, we've added that eatery to our recommended places to eat to the binder we keep at the house. We look forward having you visit again.
