“An Acapulco must”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Watching the Clavadistas is an Acapulco definite. It's not expensive and you can stick around for multiple shows (hourly on the half from 6.30pm). The shows have gotten shorter since I first came but still a great spectacle.

“A must-do!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

You've seen it on tv, but to see it in real life is amazing. Each diver took our breath away. For only 40 pesos ($3.20) you receive a memory you won't forget.

“Great Show”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

We were staying in Acapulco for a bunch of days. Of course the Cliff Divers were on our list. My wife has seen them before, but she said it's nice to watch it again.

So we came here for the show at lunch time. We accidently came over an hour too early, but like this we also had still a lot of space to choose from.
There's a small entrance fee to the show and after it donations to the divers (they are lining up personally) are welcome.

The cliffs here are beautifully located. Sunny weather, great water and high cliffs. It's perfect. Before the show you might catch some divers practicing (there were some younger ones jumping quite a few times when we were there...and no tourists around yet).
The show itselft only takes about 30 minutes, but it's really something. The last dive here is the highest and most impressive.

There's shows throughout the day with the last show in the evening (with torches). La Perla restaurant does a lot of advertising, because it sits right on the cliffs. But we went in there to check it...and the view wasn't that great or much different. It's not really worth it to spend a lot of money for drinks and food just because of the show. The regular watch points along the cliffs are good enough.

If we're back in Acapulco we surely would go watch again. Wanna know more about my trips? Check my profile (where you'll also find my website with more info about my travels).

“Divers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

The divers never cease to amaze me. They do have a lot of skill and courage to be able to do this dive each and every day and evening for very little pay. Please be generous.

“You must see it at least once in your life!”

It is breathtaking! The courage of the divers is incredible! Try to get there early to have a good spot to watch the whole show. It is definitively worth it!
