“Swimming in Tres Palos”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012

The entire lagoon Tres Palos has no beaches. Too shallow to swim, muddy.
But, constructing a beach would be possible, with dredging and pouring a few truckloads of sand and rocks. Tom Simunovic, Niagara Falls

“Acapulco's Amazon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2012

When you want to get away from the huslte and bustle of the city come to this spot. Your worries drift away as you take a boat ride through the laguna. All is peacefull as you travel along calm waters where you can see locals fishing and wildlife in their habitat.

You feel like you are in the Amazon while you are only a short drive away from the airport and the city.

“Despite security concerns we felt safe . . . and the trip was excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2012

Thanks to our friend and driver, Max Salinas, we made our way to laguna de Tres Palos for a trip on the lagoon. It was one of the most relaxing days ever, and the beauty of this place, the opportunities for photography, and the delightful meal after was well worth it. Rest. Los Bou Bous prepared a wonderful meal and we ate heartily!

“Bird watching & people watching”

And bargaining for your fish! The local fisherman will sell you his catch for an amazing deal (in Pesos of course). If you have access to a kitchen & prefer to cook it yourself - do it! Fresh caught fish, take it to the nearby restaurant for a few pesos & they'll clean it & ice it for you to take back to your hotel to fry up!

“a great Lagoon tour and fantastic lunch at Los Bou Bous courtesy of Baldo Gomez”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2012

Baldo does it again!!!
on our last day in Acapulco, Baldo suggested that we go to the lagoon and have lunch at this fantastic place called los Bou Bous. This restaurant they take your order, you select a fresh swimming fish, and they cook it for you two different ways (chili and garlic). While they are cooking your food, you jump on a pontoon boat and go with Felix to tour the lagoon and the many narrow passage ways.. this slow tour to look at the birds (flamingos, cranes, storks, grey herrons, tri colored herron, and many more) was extremely relaxing.. And the perfect way to end the day is to go to Los Bou Bous to have an amazing fish and shrimp dinner. Felix's wife cooked amazing fish, and then a dozen shrimp couked a couple of ways.. On top of that we have the best Sopas i have ever eaten..

And once again,. Baldo has shown us the the hidden treasures of Acapulco. Los Bou Bous is definately a hidden treasure.. Thank you Baldo (baldo-work@hotmail.com) for the crowning local experience of our trip!.. and the week was hard to top! from diving with Las Mantarayas, a city tour with super secret locations to get all important panorama shot of Acapulco, more diving and snorkeling, to fantastic meals at local restaurants and not to be missed tourist attractions.. Thank you for a memorable day Baldo..
