I must say the weather is absolutely beautiful.......all day and all night. The initial overview of the hotel is very nice. The open air lobby is beautifully decorated with statues, heiroglyphics, stonework, tile, and water art. Its very clean, there are stores for your shopping convenience and plenty of restaurants. We preferred to walk to the Walmart shopping center which is about a 20 min walk. They don't allow you to bring food or order food from any outside establishments. The hotel intends for you to spend all your money right there. We stayed in the pyramid building. The supposedly remodeled building. NOT TRUE. Our room was so outdated. There was this ugly orange/brown tile and outdated vanities in the bathroom. There was this box on the wall with a hose extending from it. I took the hose off and it immediately began to blow air that was not enough to blow an ant off the wall. This was the hairdryer!!?? No coffee maker, no microwave, no fridge. ($6/day 4 fridge but why??? They don't allow food. Go figure?) The bedding and furniture was extremely old. The rugs (runners) smelled like funky feet and mildew. All else was beautiful. Too many beggers/solicitors on the beach.

Just returned from a week at the Fairmont Princess Acapulco. We loved the hotel. The pools were amazing and not too busy, we could go down at any hour and get a spot at the pool. The kids (12,13, 14 & 15) loved the teen club and enjoyed hanging out there at night after dinner. It was very safe and nice for them to have a little independence and the staff at the club were great. There also were movies every night for everyone, one kid oriented, one anyone and one adult. There was a kids club too that looked very neat but my kids were too old for it. Ate at all the restaurants and enjoyed the La Hacienda the best, it is a steak house with great steaks and other options too. Service was great at all the restaurants and at the pool for drinks. They have their own tents on the beach and you can use them for free if you spend $20 in drinks while in it. Not a problem if there are at least 2 adults and some kids in them. The waves in the ocean are amazing and the surfing is great, take lessons from Phillipe. We were there for holy week and the end of our stay (Thursday - Saturday) was much busier for this reason but still not overwhelming like some places I have been to at spring break time. There are no true spring breakers here who are college age partiers which I enjoyed. We were told this hotel is a favorite among the mexicans from neighboring towns and that is what brought the business at the end of the week, that is their holiday and when they vacation. Would definately go back! Join the presidents club before you go, it is free and you get free health club and internet access.

My wife & three children stayed for a week at the Princess starting march 31. The first two days were great, but then Holiday Week started and the hotel was way over-crowded. In the mornings you had to stand on line for 30-45 minutes to reserve chairs by the pool or a tent on the beach. And there was always a line for breakfast. We had two connected rooms in the Marquesa building and the rooms were dated with no high speed internet connection. In order to get service you had to go to the main lobby, which was a bit of a walk, and then had to walk your laptop back to yor room when done. At the very least there should be wi-fi in the atrium of each of the buildings. The grounds and architecture were beautiful and the many types of birds on the hotel grounds was great for the kids (peacocks, flamingoes, Lola the parrot, swans,e tc). and our kids especially loved the salt water pool with the slide.
Finally, several complaints to the front desk could not get the a/c in our room working properly-- nights were very warm.
DO NOT GO DURING HOLIDAY WEEK AS THE HOTEL IS TOO CROWDED AND LINES EVERYWHERE.

We just recently stayed at the Acapulco Princess and really enjoyed the service and the resort. We stayed in the pyramid tower and had a view of the golf course and main entrance. The room was fine. We really enjoyed the pool area and the weather and as such stayed there the whole time! The food was great and plentiful. We got a MAP package( bkfst and dinner) and were not disappointed. The food was fresh, varied and tasty! We probably would go with just a breakfast plan as we ate too much. We were very impressed with the service and attention at the Veranda and Chula Vista resturants. They are very professional and always looking after you.
This was a very relaxing holiday and were not disappointed at all with our stay. It was not very busy at this time of year but we understand the Holy Week brings many more people.
We are president's club members and this gave us access to the health club, internet, and discount on one of the Fairmont stores. Great deals!

Stayed at the Acapulco Princess in the last week of February. The weather was amazing and it was a joy to stay at both the beautiful pools and the beach. We were there mid-week and found no problem with crowds or attention from hotel staff. Our room had an ocean view, which was amazing. I would recommend staying in the main building, though, which has reportedly been updated recently. Our room was clean and nice, but quite outdated. Food was ok, but not wonderful, with the best selection seeming to be the buffet at the italian resturant. Most of all, I would recommend going out of the hotel, especially if you are in ACA for the first time and want to see the sights. We contacted Roberto Alarcon based on other people's reviews and were very happy. He picked us up from the airport on time and with a smile. Took us for a day's tour of the city, which was great, and even arranged a session for dolphin swimming for us. He is professional, friendly, informative and a wonderful person overall. We would highly recommend him!!! Feel free to contact me for his info.
