A place like no other! Beautiful balcony views of the bay and cliff divers from afar. Private pool and no need to go anywhere else as everything is there. Rejuvinate your love vows, honeymoon or just sit back and relax on the balcony

Room Tip: get a room with a pool

Ever want to know what it's like to have your every wish granted when you wanted no matter when the mood strikes you? That is what you will get at Las Brisas Resort in Acapulco. From the first blended Margarita offered to you while you are checking in, to the last tearful goodbye, you will be enchanted by this paradise in the hills. Every casita holds a breathtaking view of the cove and city below. The grotto style showers are oh so romantic and easily accommodate two (if you like) but that's just the beginning! You will enjoy your own generous sized plunge pool decorated each morning with fresh flowers, lounging chairs and table set for eating out doors if you like, which I do recommend at least one night because the staff will bring your meal and set it up complete with table cloth and cloth napkins, flowers and candles. The linens are top notch as is the stocked bar in each casita. Every morning you have fresh coffee and a continental breakfast waiting for you in a little cubicle next to your door without you ever hearing who put it there. Also part of the resort is an extensive exercise room, formal dining restaurant and an overlook where many gather to enjoy cocktails and the most breathtaking sunsets imaginable. You also have access to an exclusive beach side resort with an out of this world swimming pool and the same impeccable service. Las Brisas even has a nail/hair salon. I highly recommend a slice of their extra thick Mexican chocolate cake, so decadent you will be in a coma for days! The beautiful people that staff Las Brisas are the real icing on the cake as they go out of their way to make sure you stay is unforgettable form beginning to end. Since everything is so reasonably priced please remember to tip generously as it is much deserved. Happy Trails!

Room Tip: All the rooms are awesome but due to the elevations and romantic tone, I would not bring kids.

This was our second trip to Las Brisas with 21 years between the visits, and Las Brisas is still the best! The views, the accommodations, and the service, are second to none. My husband and I needed a place to un-wind and un-plug and Las Brisas was the answer. Eduardo Garcia, the concierge, was top notch assisting in requests before we even arrived. The staff and the on-site travel agents (for booking excursions) were friendly and most accommodating. We stayed in #340 and loved the nighttime views of the city. Room service was always prompt and the food was delicious. We loved our time there and have already begun our plans to return.

The hotel is very old and dated. The lobby offers Wi-Fi but if you want it in the room, they must install a modem for a fee as well as a daily fee for use. The concierge was rarely available and once offered a room service menu which had been thrown together with no pricing from a bottom desk drawer. The massage/spa pricing menu was in Spanish only, they didn't have one in English. The room and balcony was much larger than anticipated, and view was fantastic. Upon arrival I placed a white towel on the bathroom floor and the next morning found a disgusting amount of other individuals' pubic hair all over the towel. The room service was extremely expensive: chicken fajitas and fish cocktail was 600 pesos or $50 US dollars. The total included service and delivery charges.

The beach club is approximately a 7 minute ride down the mountain in a shuttle provided by the hotel and it runs every 20 minutes, which is nice. However, the beach club is extremely dated, and there is no beach. It's a rocked in area along the ocean and sits high above the water on concrete walls. It closes on days where the tide and waves are high due to flooding. There is a restaurant, ocean water pool and regular chlorine pool.

The Belle Vista Restaurant was terrible. I ordered a red snapper filet and it was overcooked and tough. The meal included 4 small veggie bites and they were steamed with no spices, butter, seasoning or flavor. Our server didn't check on us after delivery, therefore I sat while everyone finished their meal before I could order another. I attempted the ribeye but it was broiled and not grilled. It was not seasoned and meat quality was very poor. The same 4 veggie bites were included and I couldn't justify paying 450 pesos or approx. $38 US dollars for this meal, so I returned it. The check included 48 pesos for a "silverware and napkin" fee and another 48 pesos were charged for the one-bite muffin and cracker served before the meal.

The location from the airport and main strip is decent and the views from the hotel are great.

This is one of the best hotels in Acapulco! Two months ago, my boyfriend propoused in one of the best villas of the hotel. The staff was very involved and friendly and they treated us like royalty. They decorated the room so beautiful with flowers, candles, and a very nice table for two. The dinner was excellent. It was the best day of my life and we are planning on spending our wedding night in the very same villa.

I have stayed at Las Brisas in Acapulco 4 times. It is one of my favorite places to stay because of the beautiful views. It is also great if you have small children. When my daughter was very small we would stay in our casita and she could take a nap in her crib in the room, out of the sun and heat and my husband and I could sit by the pool. It is also nice for putting kids to bed and then ordering room service on your balcony. You feel like you are in a fancy restaurant and you have an amazing view, while your kids are just inside the room sound asleep.
The rooms are old-fashioned but I think it is on purpose. I have noticed that service is not on par with that of other hotels of this level in Mexico. I believe it is because they charge you a daily fee which takes the place of all tips. On one hand that is nice because you do not have to worry about tipping all of the time. On the other hand it doesn’t seem like the staff is as attentive, because the tip s already assured.

This time we stayed with our 5 and 8 year old daughters and they had a wonderful time. At first they were a bit disappointed because there is not a beach. However they loved the experience of the natural salt water pool and were thrilled to play on the floating dock and spent most of the day snorkeling in the pool.
I would highly recommend driving your own car to the beach club, if you have one. We wasted a lot of time waiting for the shuttle and it was very crowded and hot. We were there when the hotel was very empty so I can’t imagine what it must be like when the hotel is at full capacity.

One of the fun things for the kids is receiving “breakfast” in the magic box, like a mail box where staff leave coffee and sweetbread in your room in the morning. For what you pay for the room, this is a little stingy, there were four of us and they only gave us three pieces of sweet bread. When I asked I was told that they would have to check with the reception to make sure that we had four people in our room in order to send 4 pieces of bread. Also, it includes fruit but they do not bring it unless you call and ask for it. However nobody tells you this. I just questioned why they no longer brought the fruit and was told that you now have to ask for it.
Another plus with kids is that the mini-refrigerator is empty so you can bring snacks, juice milk for the kids, or keep your beers cold.
Overall a great place to spend a weekend and I highly recommend it for families with small children.

My wife and I have visited this romantic hotel 30 times in the last 32 years. It is unique and an amazing bargain. The view of Acapulco, Acapulco Bay and the ocean is extraordinary. The hotel includes castle walls and turrets which is hard to find outside of Europe. The casitas have an old fashioned glamour with all the modern conveniences in the bathrooms and comfortable beds and quietly effective air conditioning. Each casita has a romantic pool (fresh hibiscus flowers float in it) and the balconies or terraces have exotic plants and trees enhancing the natural beauty. The staff is warm and attentive and professional. We prefer to eat dinner every night at the hotel's Bella Vista restaurant because the setting and the view and the food and drinks (My wife loves the frozen pink margaritas) and service cannot be matched elsewhere and we enjoy perfect evenings under the stars without the expense and aggravation of taxis and traffic. The hotel's Beach Club is also romantic, unique, private and has an excellent restaurant and bar. The hotel provides excellent transportation within its complex which extends up the side of a mountain. We're usually delighted to eat a continental breakfast (which is included in the room rate and delivered to a box by the door each morning) on our balcony overlooking the Acapulco Bay and ocean. There is also a full breakfast buffet available for purchase in a restaurant at the top of the resort complex near the tennis courts. The restaurant has a glorious view and everything you could want in a breakfast. I like to body surf so I take a taxi to the beach in front of the Princess Hotel each day, however the waves and currents are very dangerous for most swimmers there so I do not recommend that beach for most swimmers. The Princess Hotel does have 2 thatched roof markets on its beach, each market has many vendors. We have bought many high quality pieces of sterling silver jewelry over the last 20 years from Onesimo Martinez aka "Leo". We do not do tourist type activities anymore as we are happy at the Las Brisas Resort. We recommend caution when touring as Acapulco has dangerous areas. We have found the Las Brisas Resort to be an paradise oasis. There is also a profound spiritual atmosphere to the location perhaps because of the nearby Chapel of Peace located at the top of the mountain, its large lighted cross is often visible during the nights. Certainly the natural beauty is enough to make you feel closer to God.

Room Tip: If you're disappointed in your room or its view, ask to see other options.
